I’m blown away by the level of detail. You almost forget how tiny these miniatures are when you look at your pictures. Keep up the good work!

@Tjoek Do you have a link to where you bought the discs? The sticker sheets? And finally a PDF to print out the stickers.
The discs where custom cut at a local laser cutting company in the Netherlands (www.laserbeest.nl)
I just used regular photo paper in my home printer to print the artwork you can find in my original post. These where subsequently punched from this sheet of paper. This wasn’t as easy to get right. So I printed some extra sheets to replace the ones that were a bit off center.

@Tjoek these are terrific! do you have an art resource for the naval bases, airbases, and minor ICs?
No not (yet).
@cyanight said in Tjoek's custom roundels and tokens:
Those fuel roundels look great. I spent the weekend researching an acrylic version of the fuel markers.
I did the same and couldn’t find one that looked nice enough to me. That’s when I started this journey to create my own markers with custom artwork
Just like Quirky Turtle, greetings from the Netherlands. I played a few sessions of A&A back in the days of the MB version, but since the release of the 1940 games I wanted to get back into it. But somehow the copies didn’t leave their shelve since only 2 years ago when I started playing it together with Quirky Turtle and some other friends.
We were heavily inspired by the strategy video’s from YG which really helped us in our learning curve from Allied favored to Axis favored. And the great customizations by many people from this great community. So I quickly jumped on to the biggest project of my live: retouching the big scanned map of Global 1940 that was already available to the community.
Since then my hours put into this hobby has somewhat decreased but are still on a good level. With work on my own custom:
Cheers,
Tjoek
@DMcLaren: in my opinion it helps game play while at the same time looking really nice on the table!
@djensen said in Axis & Allies Anniversary upgraded version:
@Imperious-Leader The Axis & Allies logo would probably have to be removed to sell it publicly.
And the source of the nice images might be “copyrighted” as well
@djensen A logical choice! Keeps the forum nice and clean

@Tjoek You can choose which badges appear by clicking your profile image or visiting your profile and then choose “Edit” -> “Group titles”. Anyway I have already added it back for you :-)
Thnx Panther! I should have looked there first…
I’ve missed the deadline, but wanted to let you know that I’m from the Netherlands as well and we have a nation wide whatsapp group of AA players. Send me a PM if you’re interested.
Nice face lift of the forum guys!
However it seems my support badge for 2018 is lost in the big void between old and new. Could you please look into it when time allows? :relaxed:
We played our first game with all the custom markers last weekend. They handle really well and look nice on the map!
Update first post with a link to download the designs for these roundels including my custom design movement tokens and research tokens. Enjoy!
After needing to redo most of my movement tokens due to spraying on varnish when it was cold and humid outside I’ve now completed my set of roundels:
171 Control markers
30 Germany
20 Russia
40 Japan
20 USA
5 China
20 UK
1 UK Pacific (to mark the money for the Pacific)
20 Italy
10 Anzac
5 France
50 Movement markers
8 0’s
10 1’s
10 2’s
8 3’s
6 4’s
4 5’s
2 6’s
2 7’s
The Mediafire links are in the message above, but here they are again.
I think I didn’t express myself clearly. I was hoping you could share your original design file with seperate layers so I will be able to create translations into Dutch and create some other reference cards in the same style.
Really nice work! Would you be so kind to share to design files?
The only 2 measurement I know by heart are:
Diameter control markers: 3/4 inch or 19 mm
Diameter chips: 7/8 inch or 22.2 mm
The answer is:
No, CUS is not connected to Ontario
Yes, CUS is connected to A/S/M
The lake does block movement, but according to the FAQ CUS and A/S/M are adjacent. They actually updates the map in the 2nd edition print run in which they added a border between CUS and A/S/M. See for your self here
