Yes. I have seen copies like these: green Germans and gray Americans.

AAZ Rule Question: Technology 5: Deadnapper Convoys
First: I do not know if I may post to the BoardGameGeek forums here. If not: please edit this post. Or let me know.
Two questions regaring Technology 5 : Deadnapper Convoys.
If you use this technology may you move these two Zs into an enemy controlled territory?
Krieghund (thanks for all the work BTW) said he expected this to be the case. Any official word on this?https://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/2088905/deadnapper-convoys-tech-question
Must these Zs leave the transport immediatelly (at the same turn)? Or may they stay on board?
Krieghund thought the latter was the case.
Again: any official word on this?https://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/2117368/deadnapper-convoy-and-not-or-transport-across-sea

RE: AAZ Rule Question: Technology and Allies
PART TWO:
Technology (3) : Chainsaw Tanks
I do not see any ‘sharing an area with your ally’ issues here.
You only get this bonus for attacking tanks. As it says: when tanks end their combat movement.
Tanks for an ally of course do not have a combat movement phase at that very moment.Defending an area you share with an ally: then this bonus does not apply anyone.
Again: I do not see ally-related issues here. But maybe I missed something. Please post your views and ideas.
Technology (4) : AIR Dots
Technology (5) : DN Convoys
Technology (6) : ZMCRI do not see ally-issues here. Again: please share your ideas and questions.

AAZ Rule Question: Technology and Allies
Technology (1) : ZIBRA suits.
If you are in an area containing X infantry units of an ally and this ally has this ZIBRA suits technology does this prevent X Zs to conduct their ‘Zs Attack’ attack (Phase 2)?
My guess: yes, because of the analogy with destroyers and subs.
Technology (2) : Z-4 Explosives
If you are defending and your ally that has one or more artillery units does your units hit Zs at a 5 or 6?
As opposed to hitting them only at a die roll of 6.My guess: Yes. As the artillery units of your ally take also part in this combat.
If you are attacking Zs in an area where your ally has artillery units do you still get this Z-4 bonus?
My guess: No. As the artillery units of your ally do not take part in the very combat.
Maybe again the submerged submarines analogy can be useful here. But - as in all cases - waiting for the official verdict.
PART TWO in a seperate post (see below).

RE: Axis & Allies and Zombies Q+A
Krieghund,
Looking forward to further clarifications.
Regarding ‘stacking of cards’ I think common sense indicates you play one card, implement the effects. And then play another card, implement the effects on the situation that just occured (after playing the first card).
Again, this goes against the general principle of ‘state of the map at the beginning of the game’ dictates what you can do or not.

Any chance you can give your interpreation on this issue:

(Playing two Z cards).

@taamvan said in Axis & Allies and Zombies Q+A:
@thrasher1 now i get it i agree the timing and capture of zombie territory is odd
taamvan,
Yes. I think AAZ rules set would be less complex if gaining control (placing a control marker) by Zs would be at the end of the game. However, this would have (at least) two implications:
(1) The player who is losing control to Zs will lose the IPCs of that very area immediatelly.
(2) These IPC values count to the Z apocalypse check immediatelly.
Maybe we will hear more about the reasons why this very rule was implemented.

RE: Axis & Allies and Zombies Q+A
Well, again, not a question. But an addditon… AAZ rules are sometimes a bit unclear. It might be good to cover some of the common rules misunderstandings.

RE: Axis & Allies and Zombies Q+A
This was not a question but an ‘addition’. It might be useful to state this somewhere.

Again, thanks for creating this PDF.

RE: AAZ Rule Question: getting the 1 infantry bonus
@smo63 said in AAZ Rule Question: getting the 1 infantry bonus:

SMO, I interpreted this rule wrongly. For me personally getting the 1 infantry bonus only when getting rid of all Zs in an area made more sense.
But to you and others: thanks for clarifying issues like these. Let’s hope there is an official FAQ soon. You are probably one of the persons who will compile this FAQ :) -
RE: Axis & Allies and Zombies Q+A
@taamvan said in Axis & Allies and Zombies Q+A:
This one is crucial–a single zombie in enemy controlled territory or zombie controlled territory blocks a blitz or 2 space move. However, no amount of zombies stop the combat or noncombat move of a tank THROUGH a FRIENDLY controlled territory–these are treated as in other games.
Thematically this makes sense (I think).
If you move through a friendly territory you can ignore the Zs there. You simply to not attack them. These Z are contained by your friendly units.
Even if the territory is friendly but does contain Zs you can say that there are some smaller garrisons of you of your Allies that contain these Zs - so you can ignore them with you tanks and just move through this area.If you enter an enemy controlled area that does not contain any enemy units but does contain Zs you can say that your tanks are actually entering enemy ‘controlled’ territory. Again think of a small garrison present there. So this ‘confrontation’ triggers the Zs present in this territory. And there will be combat. And thus no ‘blitzing through’.
But I must say this latter situation is open for interpretation. -
RE: Axis & Allies and Zombies Q+A
General remark: thanks for sorting this out. But then again: let someone from the official AAZ team please tell what is exactly meant by these terms. And if our interpretations are right. As far as I can see know your interpretation is fully correct and based on what is actually written down in the manual. But is this all what was actually meant by the designers?
But again: thanks for sorting this out and thanks for PDF.

RE: Axis & Allies and Zombies Q+A
@smo63 said in Axis & Allies and Zombies Q+A:
ZOMBIES CAPTURE TERRITORES
Each Territory that contains ONLY Zombies becomes “Zombie Controlled.” Place a Zombie stain
in that territory and adjust the IPC chart accordingly. So just to be clear: the opposite is NOT true.
So it is not the case that during this phase a check if made if the Z-controlled areas actually contain Zs now. And if that would not be the case: removing the control marker. -
RE: Axis & Allies and Zombies Q+A
Thanks for PDF.
Zombie Occupied = There are Zombie units in a territory you control.
Zombies will never control a territory with any Allied or Axis unit(s) present in the same territory. But an area can be Z-controlled while not being any Zs present there.
Personally I would prefer the word ‘Z presence’ instead of ‘Z occupied’ as occupied has the connotation - at least for me - of controlling the territory.

RE: Axis & Allies and Zombies Q+A
@smo63 said in Axis & Allies and Zombies Q+A:
@RogerCooper Ok, sorry for such a long delay but here are the answers to your questions.
- First you must understand what Blitzing is. Blitzing is when you, pass through an unoccupied enemy controlled territory on your way to a second combat as part of your 2nd combat move as a tank. So in short, no. If it is zombie controlled, no you have to stop and fight. If it is friendly units with zombies in the territory, then you can move through but it is not a Blitz.
But what if this area is ‘Z-controlled without any Zs present’? So the area you want to blitz through has a Z control marker on it but there are no Zs in the very area.
I would say one then could blitz through this area… -
RE: Game 192; Whoops Dave Does it Again
Guys,
Interesting to read about your experiences with the East Front battle in this version of Axis and Allies (AAZ).
I was wondering: how does the (in-)famous Decoy Card play out here? When I first got the game I was under the impression you needed to have some units in the very territory you play this card on (in). But it turned out that you can play this card on ANY territory.
As others have metioned earlier: there are two Axis powers, and three Allied nations. So it seems this card will overall benefit the Allies. As say UK can play this card ont the East Front while not having any units there. How did this card affect gameplay?
.
My remarks on DECOY TEAM being a bit too strong here:
