i did the j4 global attack last game. on round 1 i bought 2 minor ic’s for manchuria and the territory with shanghai in it (whatever that one is lol). i attacked china every where i could and took out 14 of the eastern russian infantry.
on round 2 i bought units for the ic’s and 2 transports for japan and destroyed more chinese, including the flying tigers, and more russian territories.
round 3, upgraded the shanghai ic to major, brought fleet to sz 36 and units from japan to kwangsi, china down to 2 territories
round 4, attacked phillipines (including the stuff US brought there from hawaii), borneo, kwangtung and finished off china
we called it a night after round 4 but i feel that i’m set up to take india in 2 rounds and with the major ic in shanghai and minor in manchuria, japan shouldn’t have any problems on the mainland.
In J4 the USA has declared war in the previous turn. Is it futile to wait until J4?
If i upgrade the minor complex in Novgorod… can i place more of three units in the same turn (in my ex. it’s the 1st turn)?

Nice question… may be the tank can only be combined with one unit at time.
Tank at 3, Tac at 4, and mech at 1 the best combination.

You may say “30 bucks is a little to much”… but its not your company / Job / House on the line investing in this product.
I understand where you are coming from, it’s your business to run as you please, but you may be pricing yourself out of the market, sure there are people that will pay $30, but there are probably a lot of sales that are going to be lost from people who are unwilling to pay that price, but who would pay a lower price. The cost of the plastic is pennies so any sale is going to help recover the mold cost.
Also imagine if I wanted to create a game to sell and I wanted to use FMG pieces. By the time I bought all 8 nations and the accesory pieces I would have to sell that game for over $300. I don’t think I would find many takers.
I fully understand your point. We will be able to DRASTICALLY lower the price once all the Nations are complete AND all production costs have been met. Until that time we will have to price in such a way that keeps the project moving forward.
Interest in this project HERE and Elsewhere has been overwhelming so I am fairly confident they will sell.

These are interesting ideas. May I add the idea of a cap on total numbers of commander units in the field? It could be an across the board thing, or it could depend on the country (eg 3 Germany, 1 USSR, 1 UK, 2 US, etc…) What about commanders for naval purposes? I think the option of making a commander unit a general or an admiral would make the game more interesting, especially for powers with large navies such as Japan and US. I also think the commander unit should affect more units, maybe not the entire stack, but paying 10 IPC to boost 2 infantry seems silly. Just buy 3 more infantry, no?

If it Boosts 3 infantry, seems too much for me. We can make this:
2 infantry in defense and 3 in attack. 1 tank\2 mech in defense or 1 tank\3 mech in attack.
Commander unit can’t be hit. You can design a naval unit as admiral and it gains +1+1, but he can be hit and kill.
Imagine an AC with 2 Hits, 1 att. and 3 def. :-)

The command car idea is awesome. In another forum I suggested making Jeeps for the USA, but using them as command cars makes more sense. It will also allow Commander units to move 2 spaces would it not? Probably way too late for Italy but hopefully not Germany, USA, and UK. Maybe Japan can have flagships as commander units, or Flag units that attach to a ship. Just an idea. Also, how are these commander units going to be used? As stand alone units with attack and defense value, stand alone units with no attack or defense value but giving a bonus to other units in the same territory, or units that attach to a unit giving that one unit a bonus?
Actually, my thought was to have the Command Unit (equivalent to FMG’s Field Commander) act as an enhancer to infantry and other ground units somehow (maybe boosts first round attack or defense, etc). I wasn’t planning on using the unit as a sort of transport for anything - I actualy wanted the Jeep to BE the US example of a Commander unit, the Command Car as an example of the UK command unit, and the Kubelwagen as the German example, etc.
I was thinking Cost=10/Move=2/Attack=0/Defend=1/During attack, allows casualties to fire back AND during defense allows all defending ground units a first roll of 1 for each attacking ground unit (similar to how AAA works against aircraft). Unless the enemy has a Commander unit too, in which case battle is conducted normally (no advantage).

IMHO, It can increase +1/+1 att/def of two infantry or one tank at time.
Example:
German builds a Commander Unit (10 or 12 IPCs) and send it to Africa (Rommel), with one tank.
In Defense, the German player can choose to support two italian infantry to boost them (historically correct) or boost the german tank.
They can be captured, imprisoned in major cities (Rome,Berlin,Moscow…) and be part of a ransom or liberation ( i think 8 IPC would be right as ransom)…
New rules for new units:
Light tank (M13-40, FMG piece): 3-2, 2, 5. can blitz.
Main Battle Tank (A&A Europe 1940 Panther V): 3-3, 2, 6. can blitz.
Tank destroyer(TD)\SPG artillery (Semovente FMG Piece): 3-3, 2, 7. Can choose the target, but it’s not an open fire. Can’t blitz.
Mech Infantry (Sahariana, FMG Piece): 2-2, 2, 5. Infantry paired attack at 2, truck paired attack at 2, can blitz without tanks.
Motorized Infantry (Truck, FM piece): 1-2, 2, 4. Attack at 2, if paired with artillery or Mech Infantry. Can blitz only paired with Mech infantry, light tank or MBT.

mine was only a question of “if I were to attack as I do …” neutral attack is inconvenient for both sides, especially because the axis has no men to cover additional fronts … this is clear.

The same applies to French territories. Also, a power that is not at war may not move units into another power’s territories or neutral territories.
So the US can’t move units on DEI or FIC (unless they are occupied by Japanese forces).
Au contraire, Brits and Aussies can take DEI and FIC putting their roundel there and grab IPCs… right?
Once Larry makes his official setup changes official I will recreate new setup charts to reflect the changes.
For the record, I prefer that people don’t make changes to my Charts. I would hate to have a million custom charts popping up out there that I had nothing to do with. Please if you guys make modify my charts for your local gaming group, keep it local and don’t republish them on the net.

With the armistice of 8th September 1943, the Allies were able to steal many important ships to the Fascists and the Germans to prevent these ships could fall into the hands of the allies, attacked the italian fleet, sinking the battleship “Roma” and other ships…

From what you wrote, this is a change for AAP40, not AAG40. I assume its to make AAP40 a better stand alone game. However, I will be disapointed if its a AAG40 change as well, as I think(or thought) that AAG40 was play tested very well.
