The same rules apply to Dutch territories in the global game as in the Pacific game. The US may not take control of them except by recapturing them from the Axis.
Hi Kevin, considering the neutrality of US with the consequences that US may not take Dutch territories except when taken by Axis, why don’t apply the same rule for Anzac and United Kingdom considering their neutrality towards Japan and the Alliance towards Dutch (although the Dutch capital is occupied by German forces)?
If UK invades French Morocco, the Morocco remains French if before it isn’t occupied by Axis. Why in global we have the exception of Dutch territories? In my opinion this rule is too favourable for Allies and penalizing the Japan because the Allies grow too fast.
Can i expect to receive the italian units in February? I’m in Europe… :-)
You can find the game here on Fieldmarshallgames’ site:

Thanks Jim! Pacific isn’t available yet?
This has been a project over the last decade and a half for me and a couple partners.
I began developing a European and Pacific theatre WWII game back in the late 90’s - continously refining the set-up, rules and map over that time. I have had something pretty balanced for a few years now. I had always wanted to at some point market this game, but to put out a complete game with pieces is quite beyond what I can do.
However, I see that Struggle for Europe and Asia sells only a map and rules, so I could do that too.
Many of the rules we came up with with World War II in Europe (and the Pacific counterpart) I have have seen pop up in later games of Larry’s. I guess that means that in the end the solutions for certain problems in Axis & Allies will be resolved by different people in similar ways.
World War II in Europe was meant to be a game that would be slotted in between Axis & Allies/Xeno and Rise and Decline of the Third Reich. My approach was to go from Axis & Allies/Xeno and move up, rather than go from Third Reich and move down. I have seen many games pop up, like Europe Engulfed, ETO, Struggle for Europe, Flames in Europe etc …, but have yet to see a game where I think it needs to be.
Some of the rules that we had come up with are:
Supply rules
Terrain - mountains, rivers, coast lines, woodland, desert, high alpine
Fortresses
Realistic convoy rules needed to keep units supplied and to collect income over seas
Stack limits
Naval interceptions
Initiative
Winter Rules
2 scenarios: fall 1939 or spring 1941
Different build times for different units
Armed neutralsI believe that in this type of game, the rules should be standardized across the board with rare exceptions when called for, as is the case of the Soviet Union, Vichy France and China. I strove to keep things simple and standardized, but have sophistication, particularly in naval combat to bring that part of the game to life.
Here is a shot of the Europe map. I am curious to see if there is interest out there.
If you have AAP40 and AAE40 - then you have all the pieces you need to play this.
Good… can i print the original files? These are screenshots… :-(
Any news about the shipment of Italian pre-order units?
New and improved…… and corrected, I can’t belive I copied and pasted “conrtol” over a dozen times.
So here’s the new one, if anyone see any other errors, let me know.
Perfect!
I know it is a little late in the game to request this FMG but I had a great idea this evening. Forgive me if this has already been brought up. I think Axis and Allies control markers are cheap and what I have seen from your company my idea I think would be awesome. Picture this a German infantry unit holding a banner\flag with the iron cross or whatever German symbol you want on it. Use a decal to fit on the flag. Like my Napoleon in Europe game. Do every nation. Imagine looking at your board from a distance it may resemble some of the maps you saw generals pouring over during the war. If this has already been posted I apologize for wasting your time. I think these pieces would be fantastic FMG. Especially since what I have seen so far. Let me know what you think guys.
So, instead of a little round control marker to mark your foriegn territory conquests, you would have a soldier with your country’s flag to mark all your conquered territory? That actually sounds pretty cool. I could just picture a bunch of little German flags on a bunch of Russian territories, or Japanese flags on Chinese territories. That would certainly add a little more “fringe” to the game.
You mean something like this.
Where can i buy them???
Hey thanks for all the input Stefano. I have a hard time proof reading myself……
I total missed putting in the correct IPC value for Caucasus, just went down the line on that row.
The fall of Calcutta/Berlin is from my original chart I made this from; it’s a house rule we play, I missed taking it out of this version.
The original rules in the European Rule book states that the Soviets must be in control of it’s original territores to collect these incomes. I guess I never paid atention, that it’s is no longer stated in Alpha +2.
Again; great input, I’ll make the changes and repost.
I should post all my charts and docs on the forum so I can fix all the mistake I’ve missed.
Don’t worry

Soviet Union
When the Soviet Union is at War in Europe
1. Collect 3 IPCs per turn for each original German territory the Soviet Union controls. Theme: Propaganda value.
I have decided to do UK after USA. I want to finish the Europe powers first.
So, after UK, I would imagine you will do Russia, then France, Japan, ANZAC and China will be last? Then the “common pieces” set? Since China will be rather limited (no navy or air force except for Flying Tigers fighter), will you include them with the “common pieces” set to make a more “full” set? Or, will you simply offer China as a small set at a reduced price from the larger nation sets?
China set isn’t so small… flying tigers, chinese troops, artillery, communist troops and some units that can be used like light T-26 tank and Renault FT-17 tanks… some trucks.
I like to see it with some troops for Axis and Allies “Minor Nations” like Romanians, some romanian tanks, Hungarians and some tanks, Bulagarian troops, Finnish troops, Canadians troops, Gurkha troops, S. African troops.
It could be a set with many types of Infantry and tanks instead to have air and naval units.
Here’s an updted NO chart for Alpha+.2
ahahahhahah… beautiful! I like very much! They are so quickly to see! Clap clap clap! Bravo!
Errata:
the control of Caucasus give +5 to Germany or Italy… not +2!!!
the 12 IPC break teatry it isn’t about the fall of Calcutta or Berlin but a DOW between Japan and Soviet Union
The Soviet Union grab +3 IPC for controlling Original German territories but it don’t need to control ALL its orginal soviet union territories (example: Soviet Union take Norway but Germany took Ukraine and Volgograd).
Some hints:
The scrambling rules is changed? Now, the Japan airbase can scramble fighters to attack transports that are unloading in Korea?
The German infantry unit with the Great Coat is not abandoned. But it will not be part of this set.
We are saving that for something SPECIAL and TOP SECRET in the future. I accidentally posted it out of excitement.
I WILL NO LONGER COMMENT ON THIS SO DON’T ASK!
A good hint could be different campaing units… like Operation Barbarossa (germans invernal units, hungarians, romanians, finnish, alpine troops for Italy, siberian troops for Soviet Union) and North Africa… :-)
What do you think is a decent price for these units? I may ask WorldsForge to lower the retail price.
If the price was lower would you get some of these units? If so, what units?
Thanks for any input.
I could buy the Japanese artillery and tank, the ANZAC infantry with artillery and Bren Gun and stop. They are unique pieces to replace those of Global… imho.
do you get to keep the uncoloured ones?
and if you do can i buy them off you?I keep all the samples. The are FMG “artifacts”.
Hey! In the long term we can expected minor powers like Romania, Hungary and Finland? I will buy 3 set for each of them! :-D
Bismarck escorted by Graf Spee
Awesome! I buy 2 sets of Germans! Black and grey German are available in the same time?
No one is more anoyed than me. If anyone else is up to staking their companys reputation, spending $20,000.00 in hard earned money, and pulling their own hair out to try this undertaking…. and can do better. Please go ahead.
I am very frustrated with the factory.
However, you have to remember that unlike other companys, we are sharing the “inside story” with you here. Step by Step.
There is nothing we can do but wait for the process to run it’s course. In the end we will be vindicated!
go on!
I1, with German support, IE no british attacks, securing all 3 Italian NO’s. Securing Egypt, Gibraltar, and all North Africa. Securing 35 IPC’s, and then growing forwards through expansion to roughly 50 IPC’s a turn. Quite the powerhouse.
Better than Japan…
@cminke:
what crazy thing did the italins do in your game?
I’m a real crazy italian… ahhaha… i build 3 aircarriers… and i sunk the US fleet… is it enough? :-)
