    • RE: Just had alot of fun!

Sure thing, if I can ever figure out a digital camera my friend. Oh, need somebody’s opinion on this one. I made a unit specifically for the invasion of Japan:

      Civil Defense Serviceman-1945-Cost: 1

      Speed:1/1

      Defense:3/3

      Infantry:7/4/-

      Vehicle:2/-/-

      Hand-to-Hand 8

Poor Quality: This unit may only make infantry attacks three times per game (excluding Hand-to-Hand).

      So, to weak, to strong?

    • Just had alot of fun!

A friend put together a 3-D version of Iwo-Jima, and it was fun. It’s pretty easy to adapt the rules, just double your attack range and movement for inches. I had most of my guys on Mt. Suribachi, but had SNLF guys in bunkers which slowed him down for so long on the beaches, along with a lone artillery piece on top of Mt. Suribachi that destroyed about 4 vehicles until it was toasted by a long-range mortar. Right now were also working on Tarawa.

    • RE: AAM Zombies

Actually, I’ve already made up all the RE4 unit stats, you can use anything from RE4. (Note: RE4 has no zombies, there are ganados, people with parasites controlling them, big difference)

      Villager (Ganado)

      Cost:2

      Speed:1

      Defense:3/3

      Infantry:7/5/-

      Large Monster/vehicle:2/-/-

Plaga:When this unit is destroyed, roll a die. If a 5 or 6 place a plaga unit in this unit’s hex.

Command Dependent(I tweaked this ability): This unit can’t move unless a friendly commander is on the field.

    • Resident Evil 4 Axis and Allies Miniatures

This may sound sort of weird, but I’ve been working on a sort of Axis and Allies RE4. It’s a great, and I figured, hey, why not combine my two passions? I have all the monsters figured out along with Leon, and a few scenarios. However, I think it still needs alot work. Anyone wanna help?

    • RE: Suggested builds and stratagy for a 150 point axis army

Can’t go wrong with the Tiger-1, but I’d kick at least one captain and some other small stuff in favor of a Brummbar. As stated in another topic, an MG-42 along with a Brummbar can be nasty. Also, if your enemy is an aircraft junkie, forgo the Flaks and go for a Wirbelwind.

    • RE: A good Soviet army

SMG’s can only attack at range 2 if I’m not mistaken. You’d be better off with some fanatical snipers, like GrimJesta said. Also, rather than loading up on alot of cheapies, invest in some more of the T-50, or, forgoe all your tanks for a single Joesph Stalin if your feeling lucky.

    • RE: A good Soviet army

First off, Comissars suck. Use the Cossack Captain. The Katyusha’s aren’t as good as you think. Pretty much ANY unit in the game can destroy it, and if you roll bad for initiative and it’s out in the open, it’s toast. They are great however for first turn barrages, but don’t rely to heavily on them. I would also advise against so many infantry; your better off with a KV-1 and a Guards tank. The FO observer isn’t bad, but add a mortar or two so it’s more useful, because the enemy might have something nasty like a Wirbelwind or a couple Flak guns. I’m not familiar with all the new 3rd wave ruskies, but a SU might be worth a look.

      Best wishes,

    • RE: Japanese strategies

I must differ with you on the matter of the Te-Ke. Yes, it is a bad unit, but a very cheap one. They’re great for harassing, moving around quickly, and in general making a nuisance of its self. On all other points though I applaud you, superb tactics. If you have any other japanese tactics or ideas feel free to PM me. By the way, I’m curious if you know the actual stats of the Chi-Ro and Armored  Car, or if your speculating. If so, do tell.

    • Unfairness of uber-Tanks

I’m not trying to whine, but does anyone else agree that the King Tiger, the Easy Eight, and the Joseph Stalin really suck the fun out of a game? These games turn into slugging matches, pure and simple. I really just think they need to a little off the top, especially for us bad dice rollers (me…).

    • RE: Japanese strategies

One word my friends: Tankapalooza. Japanese tanks are insanely cheap, which makes up for their horrific armor. The Ho-Ni can pretty much kick the snot out of any tank, you just gotta take care of it. Also remember, Arisaka’s are great for bum-rushing weaker tanks, and this made even easier with an imperial sergeant. The Te-Ke is also good for this. It’s extremely cheap, has lots of mobility, and isn’t affected by BAR’s to boot. You may snicker at the Japanese, but I’m a tojo to the end.

      PEACE
