Try the yellow pages. Anyone that can print signs or custom stuff can do it. Like I said, I got mine at a local sign making store.
No Doubt.

Played a third game yesterday, this time as Japan, and I crushed my opponent just as he crushed me, twice. I even attacked him all out on turn two.
I have played AA for 12+ years and I don’t see how anybody thinks this game as balanced? I know many have commented on here that they feel it is unbalanced, and I am now beginning to agree. Its starting to get less fun to play as either side due to the superiority of Japan. Has anybody cracked the code yet??
If you don’t agree with me and you have actually won a game as the allies against a decent opponent, I am all ears to hear your strategy(ies).
what about Canadians? They have a roundel on the two territories in Pacific.
I don’t know that I completely agree, it is an Island, but why shouldn’t it have land bridging abilities much like canals seen in other AA variants?
This could also be the case for the UK. If so, maybe you’ll have ‘regional capitals’, with India being the likely candidate
I betchu a hotdog that will be the case.
I’ll have to agree with Achtung, its a good Idea, but would cost allot and you wouldn’t be able to defend it very well. I tried to do the same thing by moving all the Brits to Java and built an airbase their and my opponent still took it in one turn!
I have played 3 gmaes of PAC40, and a million of all other varients.
There ain’t no way for China to win if Japan doesn’t want them to, same goes for india.
Ther is a chance that India can hold out long enough for the US and ANZAC to come to the rescue but only with great playing skill and Tremendous Dice rolling.
I do agree though, either China is too weak or probably more accuratly, Japan is too strong.
First off, don’t go to kinko’s talk to a graphic Designer, like myself, before you blow your money.
AA50 is so far the Best AA game ever!!
When the new Europe and Pacific are finally released, I will have to make a new judgement, but insofar AA 50 is superior to Pac40, which is terribly unballanced.
Yes! I got them guys, thanks so much for the help.
Question, I am not a developer and I don’t know PHP or JAVA or really HTML in any decent capacity.
However, I am a graphic designer. Would there be any need for any illustrations for maps, pieces, sprites? I have the full adobe suite and I love doing WW2 related art.
Wouldn’t you have to purchase the bombs, and perhaps have a couple of technologies (heavy bombers, long range aircraft) before you could use them?
I like the China mod Idea, would like to give it a try.
However, I think these might be some possible options for the House rule.
1. China can only purchase Infantry and artillery, perhaps add a new unit, Cavalry! at 2,1,2,4?
2. U.S. is and Russia can fly aircraft to chinese capital, on subsequent turn they become chinese.
3. Japan should start with a bomber and an extra sub or destroyer in 41 and an extra carrier and f2 fighters in 42 to balance this out.
Well, turn one is always the longest (don’t we all know). The more you play the faster you get, the more experienced the faster and so on.
I would assume one person could play the USA in the global game, but it would be cool to divide it up between two players.
I am seriously wondering what the rules are going to be for USA in the global game. I am assuming that the IPC’s will ahve to be separated in the east and the west, perhaps the US will have two turns? I wonder if they will even have the panama canal and be able to transfer units from East to West and Vice Versa? Although I occasionally use the canal, it is a rarity.
I would think it would happen so rarely that its not worth worrying over, but, you have never been able to benefit from another nations national objectives, so you would not get the bonus 40.
I have thought about house rules for atomic weapons. Do you remember if there was a tech development for the 80’s A&A for atomics?
I always thought that if the bomber survives, then they roll 2-4 d-6 depending on how powerful you want your atomic bomb to be and the number rolled are the amount of casualties the defender chooses to take. It’s sort of like a super shore bombardment.
I like your Idea about having it do damage to factories and IPC’s, that’s not a bad idea and also historically somewhat accurate. Although the little boy bomb was intended to murder civilians and destroy Hiroshima, the Nagasaki bomb airbursted a few miles between two aircraft factories if I am not mistaken on my history, so therefore somewhat strategic.
Perhaps the defender should be allowed to save some of their units (I would think infantry, mech infantry only) by building a bomb shelter and rolling to see if they can get anybody in there in time, maybe a 50/50 chance (which would improve if you have radar {hoping that tech will be incorporated again in the global game like it was in AA50}) There isn’t any way to protect aircraft from an atom bomb, nor heavy equipment like tanks or artillery, at least not quickly and without any warning of whats about to hit.
Question? How would you do a naval atomic attack, Bikini Atoll style?
Although I think taking San Fransisco is going to be impossible with a competent allied player with normal dice rolls, I think it is possible to seriously screw with the US player. As long as you position yourself correctly, no matter which turn Japan decides to attack, they can take the Aleutians and Alaska. Although you will not be able to hold it, its a stalling action which forces the USA to divert resources away from Hawaii and Australia.
destroyers are the best for blocking, essentially trading and sacrificing units. Although it’s not a historically realistic tactic, it works in this incarnation of the AA games.
Yeah, 50 was really good, except for the limited run, I really wish I had bought 2 or 3 of them.
Oh, I am enjoying the game and looking forward to the Europe remake. I have to agree with the major complaints though, no money??? I mean its fine for many of us that have every other AA game, we can just cannibalize them. But if you didn’t own a previous edition you would have no play money, and honestly, I am an artists and not the best at math, so actually holding the money really helps me!! Also its fun to take away when you capture a capital, like booty, rape and pillage and so on.
Uncle Joe,
I tried beefing up and stacking infantry in India and I still lost it. However!!, it did take it two turns to fall, and although I was extremely lucky, I got numerous Anti aircraft hits, killing 8-10 planes over the two rounds, about a third of the attacking air force. Although that is not average rolls, it did do allot for the allies by taking out so much Japanese airpower that he was not able to plop down on newly built carriers later to defend against the USA.
