Me and my mate do this too, as well as talking about moves that we may or may not do. So sometimes I’ll talk about a strategy in regards to taking a territory or a group of territories that I have no intention of taking, and sometimes I’ll openly talk about my actual strategy. He’ll do this to me too, and we can never be sure if it’s truth or lies.
We call it Propaganda.
Table talk both positive and negative is one of my favorite aspects of playing a board game rather then a video game… IMHO.

My personal house rule will be this, except the heavy tank will cost the same as a fighter since they are the same stats, only reversed. I won’t have any limitation system either, as I think the cost itself will be a limiter of sorts.
And there will also be the decision making of whether it’s more worthwhile investing in planes or heavy tanks (or other units) depending on the situation.

I guess it got a bit misleading, it was only meant that they would only reach 95 or 97 where the AC would be waiting for them having landed their planes on Malta after the battle.
Ah, OK. I was looking at your example with the picture you posted where everything meets in sz96.

However, the fighters could fly from UK if wanted, they would land on the AC, the air units form the AC would land in Malta.
It may be that I’m just missing something, but I’m not seeing how the UK fighters can make it to Malta seazone in 5 moves

Does Japan lose the ability to collect 12 if attacked by Russia once it is at war with the western powers?
No, war between Japan and the western powers and war between Japan and Russia are treated separately. So even if Japan is at war with USA and/or UK, they are not at war with Russia unless Russia attacks them or they attack Russia (in which case the 12 IPCs is given to the nation that was attacked).
Essentially, Russia and Japan can stay neutral to each other for the whole game.

I assume you mean they can move a carrier loaded with planes into the amphibious assault sea zone, and not just the planes themselves? (assuming there is no naval battle before the assault)

That’s a pretty interesting strategy for that specific scenario.
Do you think he was aware that Germany could reach his capital before you sent the Italians to America? In your opinion, was he buying all the talk of you sending the Germans to Egypt?
I think if I was in your position I would have sent the Italians to Africa instead of attacking America, keeping up the illusion that Axis is heading south. If he didn’t perceive the German threat, he would be sending his units to intercept the Japanese and hopefully leaving his capital lightly defended.
It’s a bit riskier this way because if he sees the threat and stocks his capital, the Italian units are no longer in position to invade America and divert attention away from the Japanese, but it’s just another way of looking at the situation.

If the carrier takes 2 hits and sinks, the planes go down with it.
I don’t have the game yet, but have been reading about it online. I had thought that if the carrier sinks, then the planes may move one movement space to land if possible. If there is no where to land, then they are lost.
Is this not the case?

Did the Australians even have their own model of tank? I think they did have a unique fighter plane.

I did the exact same thing! Funny how 3 sets is the “sweet spot”. Honestly, I can’t wait for all the pieces to be released….
Yeah, I just ordered 3 sets too (plus a deluxe dice set).
Something strange happened, though. I entered the rommel code, and on the FMG site it showed correctly that I had a $5 discount for the order. But when the site directed me to my paypal account to pay, the listing changed to give me a $5 discount per Italy set :?
