      @regularkid I really liked that move and then I took one inf in defense too! Don’t think I could recover from that since I can’t take London back straight away. I f*cked up a couple of times with the US in the pacific too, but that’s fine. You played calmly and effectively. Let’s re-game later.

      We are taking Borneo. To be clear the TTs/marine are allocated as follows:

      2 TTs to Davao
      1 TT to Borneo
      1 TT to Guam
      Marine to Gilberts

      I’ve found PH attacks with only 2 CVs to not accomplish much. Having all 3 off Wake forces to US to play less aggressively for a turn, which gives you an extra turn to build up in the DEI and FiC. Also, assuming you buy mostly TTs J1, you have a real threat of taking Hawaii if US doesn’t block. If you only have 2 you need to start retreating them immediately on J2.

      As Japan I’m fine with Anzac attacking Gilberts, that gives me an easy kill of their TT, and also their CA if they send it for the bombard. And one less TT for the allies to retake any DEIs.

      Lastly, regarding Wake vs Guam J1: Wake is far easier for the US to retake later. And a TT off Guam can get units into China J2, whereas a TT off Wake will need 2 turns to do anything useful.

      Two more bugs – Rio de Oro should connect to French West Africa but doesn’t, and I’m not able to win a triggered victory with the Axis for controlling 13+ Victory Cities for a full turn (see attached saved game). The Axis had 14 VCs at the start of G9, and they still have 14 VCs at the end of G10, but the game isn’t showing any kind of victory message.2022-4-26-WW2-Path-to-Victory.tsvg

      Yes i overlooked the naval base. I played Japan not well. The game has stretched out over so much time, i can’t really remember how the dice went. The battle in caucuses of course was disappointing. But even if it went well, and I lost moscow, a GG would still be order. Even a victory in moscow would have entailed an uphill battle for axis.  GG WP

      that wasn’t an ideal opening for UK, in my opinion, but i don’t think thats what killed yuh. what killed yuh was how US was played, imho.

      you can have all the bombers you want, . . but bombers don’t project danger against Axis. transports do. also it was way to easy to crush the small fleets u sent against me.

      also, and less importantly, you kept your amur stack in Amur the whole game, but you never actually used it. if you moved that shit in like two or three rounds ago, it would have put a hurting on japan.

      Are neutrals treated differently in BM3 than in vanilla G40? I ask because in triplea live, the game wants to count neutral Greece as “allied controlled” for the UK bonus in the med (capturing Sardinia, Sicily, Greece, or Southern Italy). A neutral is a neutral regardless if it is strict neutral or leans one way or the other. Mods, please move this to a different forum if need be. I searched, but did not see a BM3 specific forum.
