I wish you the best of luck and I hope you don’t leave the community. It’s been fun gaming with you and look forward to more games.
I think you would have to post the lost to the game results. I hate getting a win that way so if you want we can leave it open until the end of the 13 league.
Again bust of luck.
Kris Smith. aka. Surprise Attack
Wow. Didn’t see that coming! I was hoping to see what a stack of 100 german tanks looked like! I’ve never seen so much armor before! Good game! Once I trim my log of current games (7 right now. Seriously. SEVEN.) down over the next couple of weeks in readying for the 2013 league, I’d be up for a rematch - either side. 🙂
Roger that, at this point I see no reason to go on, I could string it out but the outcome is enivitable, do you always take India by about turn 3?. You have taught me alot in this game and I still habe a long time to go. Cheers for the game and hope to play you in the future soon.
GG to you - I still have not figured out the best way to get the US and UK into the game - your battle in Russia not withstanding…
I poured every unit I could in there - if I recall, I did a quick battle simulation and it was about a 9-10% chance at the win for Germany. So, you would have needed a good deal of luck to pull it off (which, the dice made sure you didn’t).
Whenever you’d like another game, just let me know.
Thanks for the invite Gargantua I might just wait and pllay a few practice games and get used to the formats again and what most people are playing. Hey whatever happened to Nccswitch, I used to enjoy playing against him.
Do you each write down your attack/withdraw perogative on paper and show it at the same time… I mean, how ELSE could you do it simultaneously?
That’s about the only way I can think of. As TimTheEnchanter pointed out, this is an ambiguity in the rules. There is no FAQ entry, and as far as I know no “official” ruling on this, and that’s why I answered the way I did. My personal inclination would be to follow the “natural” order of things and let the attacker decide first, as in LHTR. If anyone cares enough, I can ask Larry Harris, though I suspect his answer would agree with LHTR (for obvious reasons). Just one more reason to use LHTR rather than the OOB rules.
