everything is fairly clear, you just need to look under the rules for each piece to see what its options are.
Infantry - can move into a territory you just conquered to reinforce. This typically does not happen since you would want as many troops to be involved in a battle as possible. It still is an option.
Armor- can move into a territory you just conquered to reinforce. can move two spaces, but can only engauge in combat once. Armor’s “blitz” stops when it runs into an opposing unit (this includes enemy AA’s and IC’s.). Cannot move AND load on to a transport. If an armor wishes to load on a transport, its sole move is to load on to the transport. Conversely, you cannot offload a transport and then move.AA can be moved into a territory just conquered.
Fighters and Bombers cannot move into a territory just conquered. To be more clear, they can fight to take a terrotiry, but they cannot stay and must land in a previously owned teritory.
If this is clear as mud, keep asking specifics. I am sure someone around here knows.

Oh yea, I have all the sets.
I still recall purchasing my first set in 1986. The game box had the pictures of the original pieces (they looked metal). Interestingly enough, India had an aircraft carrier with a transport and another vessal that looked like a destroyer. There was also an anti-aircraft gun in India.
The battle board showed AA shooting at a 3.
At one point, my roommate and I had 6 sets of the original axis. We also had just about every other game ever made. Oh, we both ended up dropping out of college. :roll:

The low luck dice server reduces the number of possibilities in a game. A blowout in a combat early on can steer a game into a direction no one saw coming before.
It forces more skill on the player to take into account these possibilities.
My rolling the past two games have been subpar to say the least, but overall I believe it makes for a better game.
I certainly get excited when rolling the dice for a big combat. ANYTHING can happen, just as in my last big combat. I got ruined.

I do not think that Japan would be able to succeed for the same reason I do not believe the US can succeed a similar type offensive against the Japanese.
You will not be able to take the other nation by surprise and requires a multi-turn build up. Your opponent will see it coming and deal with it.
Give it a try, but I do not believe you will get the desired results….not against me, anyhow :wink:

This may seem a bit tedious, but this is how I do business. Set up yourself a game of Revised, and follow the moves for the game between “NCSCSwitch vs Octo (take 2)” for an example of how the turtle worked well. You can examine the first game, but it is more representative in take 2.
Then examine my current game of “Octopus vs. Trihero” for how the turtle can go wrong. Both games start off similar but there are a few differences.
Go from there, but I won’t be handing out any freebies.

Now you are asking questions of religion and faith.
You will find that people have many different beliefs of how this is done and what is the barometer for success. My explanation would be lengthy so I will spare the audience my verbose nature.
I recommend you examine strategies already played out then figure out what you like and are most comfortable with.
To me, the correct strategy is the one that wins you the game. It doesn’t have to be pretty, just successful.

I call it ‘ebb and flow’ but when Switch called it the ‘turtle’ I knew what he meant.
A warning should be given when using this strategy for you should have a firm grasp of probability. Too much force and you end up occupying a territory that you would rather not be in. Too little force and you end up losing more units than you kill. Find the sweet spot and hope you don’t run into aberrations of the dice.
Well executed attacks will preserve Germany beyond it’s normal life span.

I think my style of play is fairly realistic. If I defeat you, I hold war crimes trials and then immediately execute you.
Fortunately, I am undefeated.

The Russian fighter positioned in Anglo-Egypt would invite the German player to crush the region.
Any opportunity to rob the Russians of a key unit is worth the extra effort.
To me, the Russian fighters are the key units.

2 bands did a song of that name in the 80’s.
The one you are looking for is Expose (with an accent on the e).
The other group is the Electric Light Orchestra written in 1983. It was a B-side that was intended but not released on the album Secret Messages. It ended up on 3-disc boxed set released in 1991 that had a short print run. The new box set included only 2 discs and the song sunk back into the oblivion.
Fortunately, I have both songs by both bands. Each song is totally different. I don’t think people did remakes back then. :wink:

The extra money reduces the importance of value-territories. For example, a capturing territories in the Eastern Europe area would not be as signigicant if an extra 10 IPC’s were introducted.
Capturing territories in Eastern Russia (valued at 1 IPC each) become almost not worth the effort to take since they do not impact Russia.
Building restrictions also make it difficult for countries like England to hand the flow of extra income as well.
I put it akin to playing Monopoly where landing on free parking gets you an extra $500. That extra money allows players to survive far longer than they should.
Go ahead and experiment, but I think you will find that many places (such as Africa) become irrelevant with the extra income.
As before, I don’t think a bid is necessary.
