      1  Buy infantry/rt round 1,
Kill france with all available ground, try to keep tanks and mechs
Kill 106, 110, and 111 (maybe try to bb strafe 111) might be forced to land some stuff in holland if u did not take the berlin tac as a casualty.
Take out yugo with enough to 1 shot it or try to strafe it for italy.
Take bulg and finland while stacking slovakia with everything from berlin and from poland
Land hungarian/poland air in south italy
Stack 112 if you can do it safely otherwise, go for 113, drop denmark garrison in norway

2  Buy at least 1 dd and 1 sub to handle the russian sub and the NO then either more slow, or mech/tank
Kill 97 if uk has stuff there, or other med navy
Kill surviving UK navy if you can
Kill Normandy unless u want italy to have
Land in alex if italy stacks there
Send tanks and mechs from france to yugo
Put every ground unit in range on to Romania
        Berlin units to poland
        Norway units to finland

3  Buy all fast (maybe a replacement plane or some boats aswell) preferably mech heavy
      Declare on Russia
      Stack bess heavy
Kill poland and baltic if you can do it cheaply
Kill karelia and vyborg, if high novgorod garrison, go to karelia light untill he moves out
If russia pulled back out of novgorod and belarus, u might be able to stack poland/karelia heavy
Kill russian sub if it sits in 125, have your sub in 125 to cancel NO
So if you can stack both bess and epl safely, then thats good, just stay focused on bess.
Non-com berlin fast to epl or Romania
Check on how much air you need to help italy
Make sure italy is getting some units to follow your army to can-open for you.

4  Buy more fast, maybe some slow to help garrison western europe if you have to.
      Kill west Ukraine
      Stack Ukraine heavy!!
Kill bela and novgorod if possible
Try to have italians in range of can-opening rostov
        Shuffle more fast units east
        Use navy/air accordingly
keep sending italian fast units to russia, 3 or 4 tanks/mechs would be nice to have with the germans.

      5 and Beyond
Have italy can-open rostov so germany can fight for volg and cauc, stack bryansk of possible, keep russians in moscow.  Eventually, you will have russia stuck while you have moscow surrounded on at least 3 sides.  With germany making around 80, you can start pressuring persia while japan is pressuring india, eventually, India or Persia will fall.  The longer you can keep italy going the better.  Try to invest in destroyers if you can with scramble ready in south ita, this makes italian navy hard to hit.  Make sure, you hold west germany, and berlin at all costs, watch out for the denmark opener followed by UK berlin attack. Fast units in west germany with slow in france can help counter a normandy stack.

If the allies are heavy in the atlantic, then you will need japan to kill india asap and maybe pressure russia.  If allies are all pac, then that is more you can spend on russia.

      Hi Mike,

      NICE JOB  bi

Very nice production with the hot-linked Table of Contents and all the active cross references, plus all the reformatting to fit “book” pages. Very clean and usable.

Of course, one of the long-standing complaints about the original online “manual” is that in many places it seems more like a sales pitch than a how-to manual, and that is all you had to work with.  To get better content either takes a lot of dedication or something like a Wiki where lots of people can contribute their tips.  Also of course, there are a few links that still go to on-line locations; you could not include the entire Almeza site in this manual.

This PDF should definitely be a huge help to those folks who have slow connections or are behind corporate firewalls that make it hard to get to the original or to anyone who wants to print something out to have on their desk while they work.

      Congratulations,
      August

In my experience so far a good Russian player playing conservatively can make Moscow close to impossible to take.   The way Russian territories are set up allows them to fall back and shadow any approaching German army until the Russians have reinforced their stack to the point where it can turn around and chase out or destroy the invaders.  There’s no real downside to this vs standing and fighting as you’re only giving up 1-2 ipc provinces as you fall back and you’re continuing to preserve and grow your Russian stack at a rate faster than the Germans can hope to reinforce theirs (assuming, of course, that GB and the US are putting any sort of pressure on the other side of Europe).  I’ve pretty much given up going for it and instead have resolved to find some way to take Leningrad and Stalingrad.  I’ll admit that Germany and Italy, given free reign to attack Russia can eventually bring them down if they focus all their strength on it but how are they doing this while preventing or counter-attacking allied landings?  There’s just not enough IPC’s available for them to effectively do both.

Japan should try and protect itself  if it takes Hawai. The british will send big attacks from india into Japanese controlled Chinese territories trying to create a pathway between shanghai and india.

KAF could be a viable strategy if you don’t do pearl harbour but it allows Britain the major threat to build an army and make India hard to take if Britain build a lot of infantry. KUKF would be more viable and then just pick the ANZAC’s of at you leisure. Maybe preform pearl harbour a little later as the US will look to attack the European Axis’ weak underbelly Italy and you can attempt to make them draw there forces back to the pacific by taking Hawai and threating San Fransisco maybe making Sea Lion more viable as the U.S might not want to risk lossing their territories attempting to liberate the UK. This also means that the Germans don’t have to be as worried about becoming a turtle and can attack the SU.

I can see a fair case for both. My strat with Italy is to focus on the Balkans and keep my fleet in the eastern Med, away from the British in the Atlantic and close enough to redeploy to Egypt/mid-east should I need to. I would prefer the Germans to have southern France just so they have an easy jumping point and because, with the larger income, can more easily afford to build fleets there as nesscary.

      @jeffdestroyer:

My concern is having to defend another factory in S. France from the U.S.A.  ie from a Gibraltar attack.

Remember, with the fighter stacks I mentioned and the Tac bomber firebrigade, you could easily counter attack and destroy any invasion in that area

Not to diss on the band or anything… but they sound a bit over the top to me.

I mean, I love history and all, especially WWII, but this is a little more than I can bear. If that first link is anything like the rest of their music… they are just too obvious for me. Besides I don’t really go for the Metal stuff anyway.

Hi, just want to share this nice music with all of ya.

If you like soft metal, you will like it for sure.

It’s call Sabaton, try it on youtube. Their musics is based on history and the majority of their songs is about world war 2. I like to listen to them when playing axis and allies. Very nice music

Try panzerkampf, stalingrad, rise of evil or ghost divison.

And for the series, for those who speak french, like me :-D, there is a wonderfull serie called Apocalypse. For now it’s only in french but this is by far the most exciting world war 2 serie iv’e ever seen. It’s about the world war 2 with old videos and a narrator. They are now in color…nice songs…very good…take a look if you can find your way out, some videos from the serie are available.

      Good game

      My opinions in summary:

–You need a factory on the mainland. It’s debatable where, but against a competent Allied player you’ll need the boots on the ground.

–You’ll need a lot more TRs. Time is your enemy and having more TRs means delivering more combat power where you need it faster

–I favor a J3 attack. Spend 2 turns pounding on the Chinese with all of your air and getting troops and TRs in position to take everything you need within 2 turns of the DoW on the Allies.

–Try and keep your fleet massed. None of the Allies has the slightest chance against the full weight of metal that Japan can throw around. Granted you’ll likely have to spread out a little to accomplish everything you need, but try and mass up agains ASAP.

–Keep Truk and Japan garrisoned with fighters/tac. As long as you do this and have minimal infantry on the ground they will be EXTREMELY hard to take due to the Scramble rules.

–The primary goal if this strategy is the complete destruction of China with minimal losses and then a heavy focus on India. You only need to fend off the US and Anzac - you dont not need to decisively engage them. PI must fall on J3 to remove the US presence and to get the naval base, but beyond that you dont need to fight them unless they expose themselves to a favorable trade.

Usually it will knock the UK fleet out of position though, and open it up to Ger air normally, but not always it depends on the situation.

      Q

      @axis_roll:

Since you didn’t mention it, and they’re optional, does that mean that tech and N.O.'s were not used?

We voted to use National Objectives but not Techs.

      A

There’s an easy solution, move the RAF fighters onto Karelia.  Problem solved.

It’s one turn of 5 less production for Russia… well, 3 really, since losing Karelia is 2.  It’s not a big deal.  That 5 bonus is for when Russia’s strong enough, which they aren’t at the beginning as everyone has shown.

Remember Germany also gets 7 (2 for the territory and 5 bonus) production from Karelia, and can start producing armies there.  That’s a huge negative, because without that factory the German line gets stretched out and weak on infantry.  The negatives from losing it are steep, very steep.

      Napoleon

      Ok lets count

41 without tech and NOs = Seems more balanced but not this much if KGF 41 with NOs and no tech = Favor Axis if no Full KGF 41 with tech and no NOs = ?!?!?

-42 without tech and NOs = Balanced
-42 with NOs and no tech = Favor Allies
-42 with Tech and no NOs = Balanced?

I would like to listen to people about the length of the game….how long are these options…is 41 longer than 42?

      1941 = Very long? about 5 to 8 hours?
      1941 = Short like revised

NO’s and Tech favour a long game?

And what about the VC’s…Is 13 a good way to play for a shorter game?

Im Planing to play on december 12…and i want to play…a good game wich can last for maximum 5 hours and some balance…not a perfect balance but some sort of…
