RE: đ Introduce or Re-Introduce Yourself (Current)
I currently reside in Dallas.
Many years ago Iâve played the classic version. I am currently getting acquainted with and practicing the Revised version with a fellow gamer (familiar with other board games).
We have been playing unfinished games on weekly basis, because he will only play for an evening of one night, in a public setting, before calling it quits as it gets to late (technically âearlyâ, as it [technically] becomes morning once it becomes midnight) for him to continue.
I have not used any customization and/or house rules. Although, perhaps I will, at some pointâŚeventually. -
RE: [1941] Combined attacks
@barnee âAxis & Allies âRevisedâ is the 20th Anniversary edition of the game. It was released in 2004 and is a global World War II game, set in 1942. Itâs a remake of the 1984 version of the game.â
âAppendix 3: Optional Rulesâ
âVeteran players may wish to vary the play experience. The following optional rules set out national advantages for each power in the game, simulating its historic strategies or benefits. A power may not share its national advantages with friendly powers.ââUnited Kingdom National Advantagesâ
â2. Joint StrikeThe most powerful strike in the war was the joint Allied assault on Normandy. The planning required to launch this simultaneous invasion has never been equaled.Once during the game, on your turn, you may declare a joint strike. You complete your turn as normal, except you skip your combat move and conduct combat phases. (Any of your units may move on your noncombat move phase.) On the U.S.âs turn, the U.S.âs player can move any of your units during his or her combat move phase and conduct combat with them, as if they belonged to the U.S. You and the U.S.âs player must agree on attacking casualties, or the opposing player gets to choose them.â

RE: [1941] Combined attacks
@sniffemonster Simple answer: Defending together is allowed with any countries of the same side (whether Axis or Allies); attacking simultaneously is not. (This is the case in all versions.)

RE: Dallas area players wanted
@chrisbump86 Why wouldnât I be in your âcontactsâ if we already met, at your home, and we had a dialog via texts, prior to you having ghosted me? I am pretty sure that was me telling you⌠therefore, you have been reading the texts, you just have not been saying anything; your phone is not treating me like spam, you are.
