    • RE: Germany invading Britain strategies?

Tell you what. On your first turn, spend only seven of the 12 dollars that you get for a person and an artillary peice, and place them wherever you feel is necissary. Then, with your left over 45 dollars, build 3 bombers. Use them to strat-bomb Russia, along with your starting bomber, to make a total of a 4 bomber squadron. If they get through, that is a minumum of 4 dollars lost, or a maximum of 24 dollars lost. Send fighters for air support, and you can hold against Russia.

Now as for the british issue. Build a battle cruiser, and 2 subs, this will save you two dollars (assuming you took the two purple contries worth money). Now on you next turn, build one more battle cruiser, and two transports. you should have a total of four spare dollars. Next build 3 trans, and 5 artillery. You should now have a fleet of two battle cruisers, two subs, and 6 trans (all this should be placed in the baltic sea, sorry).

Now it’s go-time. with what navy you have, send in both subs, and a battle cruiser (leave the other to defend the trans). Now attack anything in the waters. leave an open door way to britain, and attack into lenningrad with a small force from you trans, and use the other battle cruiser to help. Assuming you have been bombing well, then there shouldn’t be much of a threat. Now refill the trans with whatever units you used, and attack the Uk. Even if the british attack into you flet on the turn before, you will still hold. Now, attack British with the two supporting shots you should have, all of your left over bombers, all of you fighters, and all of your units in your transports. This should overwhelm your british opponent, and win you the game. However, this strat is highly unpredictable, and long term. Use at your own risk. I have never tried it.

    • RE: Help on kicking out germans

Here’s what you do. First you need to make something resembling a threat. Move high concentrations of troops into Turkestan, and leave a small force in Mocow. Slow the Germans by Placing 2 or 3 troops in every territory between them and Moscow. When they attack into say Bellorussia, counter attack with everything capable in the area, except for anything from Turkestan or Moscow. When they finnally arrive, you should have a sizeable force in Turkestan and Moscow. When he gets ready to attack, assuming you still have you bomber, threaten him/her. The turn before, spend every cent and keep you bomber alive. Tell him that any money he will make by advancing into Moscow, he will most surely loose because of a Strat boming on Germany. And that even if he/she did manage to take Moscow, you will send every unit into Moscow to retake it. The turn before this happens however, move the AA gun out of Moscow. It’s falling is Pre ordaned, so this will seem like a standard manuvere. Here’s the trick. Have Britain land it’s bomber/bombers in Turkestan(there is a path from UK to Turkestan, trust me) and patriot act them into the RED-ARMY. On your turn for invading Moscow, Strat bomb with 2-3 bombers and and destroy their winnings. Moscow will completely open for Strat-Bombings, no AA-gun, and no legely landed fighters will be present. This will leave SOV alive for 2-4 turns more. Chances are Germany won’t have been heavily re-enforcing it’s land capabiliteis, and would have probably focused more on naval and African matters, believing that SOV was doomed. With the loss in finances you created, and the disruption in supply lines, this should give the allies some breathing room. For now on, place as much inf as you can in moscow and Archangel. Take back weakly defended german-occupied territories, and use scare tactics every time you attack somewhere. Keep reminding German player that They lost the war when they lost Moscow, and this should demoralize the greman player to a hefty extent. Insults, bribery, and meatgrinders often insure victory.

    • RE: Soviet Strategy First Turn

I’m sry to say this, but every time we play ( my friends and I) Germany always takes every purple state, always! I have every territory behind that to work with, and i have come across something new. It might be possible for SOV to take Finland and Norway on turn 2 with a numerical advantage. Plus i feel that it might work to eat away at the Germans litle by little, taking of flackk bit by bit. This might help in the finnal battle that everyone knows will come. Thx for taking the time to read.

    • Soviet Strategy First Turn

Hi. I posted earlier and I haven’t gotten any responces. I don’t know why, but enough of that. I have been reviewing the board most recently and have found (with the help of a friend) that if Germany were to place 3 ardi in Rumania, they could take every one of the purple states (Baltic States, East Poland, and Bessarabia) and Ukraine, almost guaranteed. We ran all the possible battles over and over, but every time Germany came out stronger than SOV. We finnaly came up with a counter measure. It is drastic, but if you don’t do it SOV then has a 8 border front threatening moscow with tanks and stalingrad directly. We decided that SOV would have to pull every unit from Bellorussia, Stalingrad, and Caucasus and counter attack into Ukraine. Then every unit from Russia, Moscow, and Turkestan into Bellorussia. Archangel units into Karelia, and Siberian units into Russia. The only thing that you wouldn’t redivert would be the armor that SOV has left. Take it and split it into two forces, 2 tanks into Russia, and 3 into Turkestan. The last thing to do is to place 8 inf into Lenningrad. With fighter support from UK this should allow you to hold for another 4 turns easy. Thoughts… comments?
