Hi guys! It’s been a while. The file became so big that my laptop didn’t like it anymore ;) So I had to wait until my Hackintosh was done. It’s now done, and I will resume editing of this file.
Are you guys interested in both the classic coloured version and the darker/stylized version?

Thanks @AcesWild5049 - you did good work with the scan. I didn’t really, they’re just not been painted in yet. As mentioned: Work in progress ;-)

@Imperious-Leader Is the map you’re mentioning the one called milton bradley axis and allies.pdf?
This one?

@Imperious-Leader Yes, I can try to increase the size. Think it’s possible to do it with decent results in Photoshop. If not, I’m considering doing a new pro studio photo of the board.

Hi @vodot ! I most definitely do. I have the color mods on separate adjustment layers in Photoshop. It would be a breeze to export multiple versions.

Working off of this images, I’ve started on an even more cleaned-up version of this map, as well as a little more subdued color scheme. I wanted to make the colors more “vintage”.
Here’s a preview:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ybcqfsilx6fbnsb/aa-classic-workinprogress.png?dl=0Done so far:
- Removed the original sea (almost done)
- Removed the original logo and added a new one (from Anniversary edition) in a new location
- Inserted new Roundels (from Anniversary edition)
- Toned down the colors and adjusted color balance
- Added roundels in the bottom left corner (turn markers)
- Cleaned up the small maps top left and bottom right (work in progress)
- Created a new border
- Straightened the map itself
- Added new ocean names
To be done:
- Remove damaged type in creases and add new text
- Clean up the rest of the sea
- Add some texture to the sea
- Adjust colors further
- Clean up the compass
- Look into adding more game-aids to the map itself
- Add IPC markers to the bottom
- Clean up the small maps top right
I’m aware that some of the islands and names are gone in this version - as said: It’s work in progress.
Will share the full size file (100 cm wide, 200dpi) when I’m happy with the result.
I’m open to suggestions :)

RE: Sired's Map project - Updated- 4/16 - files available see first post
Hi @siredblood - the map and all your other customizations look amazing. I’m particularly liking the color scheme on the map.
Not knowing how much difference there is between the maps: Would it be possible to make a version of the map suitable for play with the Anniversary version of the game?
Keep up the great work, man!
