RE: What is Axis and Allies Miniatures?
Unfortunately , there do not seem to be many people willing to spread their experience and knowledge of the game to new players like you and I. I posted a message trying to learn more about the game and had many views but few actually responses.
It is a shame since that is the best way to nurture and expand the game.
I myself am a new player so I wont be the most knowledgable person to speak on the game, but I’ll give it a shot.
A&A Mini’s is a two player turn-based wargame using miniatures as game pieces.
You need at least a starter set in order to play.
It will include game pieces, rules, maps, counters and dice. Enough for a bare bones two player game. You can also buy booster packs on the miniatures to expand your collection.
You can purchase the starter sets and boosters many places. Local Hobby and Game stores or various locations on the net like Ebay or the Wizards of the Coast homepage. Hope im not breaking any board rules regarding advertising :)
Hope this is helpful to you.

RE: Future expansions wish list
“They should sell specific map campaigns. D-Day would be awesome!!!”
Check out the WOTC site. In the articles area they have some scenarios and new maps.

RE: Questions from a newbie
Ok, thanks for the input.
Im glad my play group arent the only ones who thought that four maps was too limited.
Do you play three wide by two deep
or
three deep by two wide?

RE: Questions from a newbie
Thanks so much for the feedback.
Ive been thinking about a second starter set for the counters and maps anyway.
Ive also downloaded a bunch of maps off the WOTC site.
The four maps just seemed way too limited.
Ive been extremely lucky in my pulls so far. I think I got the starter and six boosters and already have two Tiger’s.
I’m thinking about one case of set one and that should give me and my play group a real nice selection from the first set, then I’ll move onto set two.
I dig the models, they look pretty cool. The rules are pretty simple and straightforward. Could use a little clearer writing in them though.
Overall seems like a pretty quick fun game. Now I have to start diving deeper into strategy and tactics.

Questions from a newbie
Hello all, and thanks in advance for any help.
I just started on Axis and Allies Mini’s and have a couple questions.
First on damage. It takes three hits in one phase to destroy a vehicle. If a vehicle is already damaged, does it still take three hits in a phase? Or if it gets another damage counter in a later phase is that enough to destroy it.
Second, does anyone else seem to think the four map layout a bit small? Ive only played once, and with being able to start five hexes from the end, it seemed like my opponent and I were right around the objective right away and it turned into a dice-rolling slugfest. There was little movement, just hammering it out.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!
