The supporting cast basically didn’t show up. I don’t like the substitutions. For example, why not play Greg Ogden? The whole point was to have a big man and he just sat on the bench. Also, they didn’t really play Haslem till the end and they broke the confidence of Chalmers. He never played this poorly ever.

Big men wouldn’t have helped outside shooting, which is what killed the Heat - best FG% in any finals in history, nearly 50% from 3 as a team.

They need to trade for a PG, get rid of Wade.

Not sure what happened with Chalmers, but he was terrible.  Cole would have been a better start.

Need a real center, not Anderson

Need a bench more than they need a center.  But that’s where they took cuts to sign the Big 3.

Run more plays for Bosh

Maybe in the 1st game - after that he caught the Wade flu.

Anyone played this?  Got my first taste this weekend with a 6 player game.  I played as Kate Winfield and kicked some monster ass!  Got some really good rolls and defeated more monsters than everyone else combined, even though she’s not really a brawler.  Yig surfaced and got the winning blow (and more hits on him than anyone else) to finish him off.  Really enjoyed it, but felt the others didn’t move as hard as they should.  Anyone have any thoughts on this game?

My son said he wants to see it, so I’ll give it another go.  I felt after watching it the first time, there was a lot that I liked, but I felt the movie hurt due to pacing the most.  There was a lot being crammed in to a fairly long movie - and it could have done more with more time.  That’s not going to hold attention very well, though.

Overall, worth a viewing - not exactly what I wanted it to be. 6.5/10 on a bad day, 7 or 7.5/10 on a good day.

I told you they would go over 180, I told you Lebron would score +30, I told you Wade would score 20+, I told you to bet the line but don’t give up more than 6 points, i told you Heat would win.

What I’m saying is this is not news.  Both teams averaged over 100pts a game during the regular season, and every single Finals game was 180+.  Lebron averaged over 30 the majority of the series, specifically the last 4 games.  Wade had no issue scoring unless no one else was.  I also don’t bet, so that’s useless to me even though you lost that one.

Wade will be traded, or should for another younger 20+ PPG. Ginobili should be traded.  Bosh won’t be traded. Heck his rebound in game 6 and all the intangibles he has makes him a keeper.

There’s not a single person talking about this except you.  Their #1 and #2 pieces are LBJ and Wade.  Bosh is a distant 3.  If anyone is traded, it’s him.  He’s the only one with value that is expendable.  Who would take Ginobili except a crap team?  He’ll retire before they even think of trading him.  Bosh does well with other scorers around him and not facing big men.  He’s too chicken to really go toe-to-toe unless his facing people smaller than him.

If Duncan leaves Pop may follow, but that team will be in decline next year due to age issues.

Without a doubt, they will leave together.  It’s already been expressed.  I wouldn’t be surprised if it was this offseason, whether they won or not.  But the truth is, they have age, but they have a great core of role players.  And the aging hasn’t been that bad.  Duncan and Parker weren’t quite the same a year and two ago, this year they lit it up.  Manu was fine except the Finals in one game - otherwise he played his role.  Kawhi Leonard will be a star, and I’ve said that since he was still with San Diego St.  Danny Green may yet find his mark.  Not even going to move on because it’s moot now.  It was a good mix of young up and coming players and seasoned veterans and it worked.

Neither that event , nor the recent drought or fires have deterred me from wanting to go back.

I thought there was already a topic on this, but I couldn’t find it.

So, I played this twice last year with 5 friends.  The first game (for all of us) I won as the Starks on the super rare third (and final) tie breaker by a dollar (I think that’s how it went).  The second game we got too drunk and someone dropped a phone on the board and screwed up the entire placement, so it was left out.

Anyway, does anyone have an opinions on it?  I’d love to talk strategy, especially since it’s been almost a year since we played and I’d like a refresher.  had some ideas but don’t know how they’d work out.

Very balanced game it feels like, even though it’s fairly complicated.

Anyone else super, super disappointed by the final episode of season 4?

From “disappointed” to “omg, how could they ruin it so hard”, this order:

1.) Skeletons instead of wights?
2.) Letting Jojen die. What if he still has a role to play in the times to come?
3.) Tysha. She was almost the whole motivation behind Tyrions decision to go to Tywin. There’s also a huge difference between leaving Jaime in a fight or not. It means a lot for Jaimes path to redemption.
4.) Leaving out Coldhands. Such a mysterious and interesting figure!

and of course the worst thing:

Brynden Rivers, aka the Three-Eyed-Crow. WTF? He looks like grandpa just accidentally sitting in a chair made of roots. He should look more like being part of the tree. Almost consisting of roots and branches and so on. And he has TWO EYES?!?!?! He even mentions “Watching with a 1000 eyes and one” in the series… oh my god, seriously. I hope they fix this next season.

Oh, and the umpiring left something to be desired.  Nothing egregious, but as a whole it seemed to heavily favor the Cards.

That blown tag at first was a terrible call in game 3. That call would not have been blown had one of the top storied teams been in the series.

I’ve always thought MLB was backwards in its thinking about instant replay. Had a guy the other day defend MLB by saying it would lengthen the games. I replied, have you watched a baseball game, it has plenty of time. Give each team a certain amount of replays for fielding calls, one replay would work for me, just something. Don’t think you can touch pitching calls.

Well Dead Island SUCKS. It’s like playing GTA and Mortal Combat….with Zombies.

Totally nothing but constant “jobs” for you to complete, mostly alone. The game is hardly Multiplayer and you don’t get any guns till near the end and it is just one large map.

Left 4 Dead is 1 million times better.

It is basically impossible for you to play with friends since the game decides when you are at a similar mission level to “join” other people.

Yeah, a wharf is good. Get the wharf and a warehouse is also helpful, depending on the tactics of other players.

Yeah, that’s the game.  It was something between the simplest RPG-like game you can play and actual D&D.  The gamemaster could make their own scenarios, if they wanted.

I have never had a problem with regional games.

Well, I will have to see if they air any L.A. Kings games.

I have seen them at my local game store. I remember asking about one of them and the owner told me that it was a good game. I just can’t remember which one it was.

I don’t really know.  I think Fallout 3 is more in depth, but I never played it, just assuming so from Bethesda.  Borderlands focuses on action, multiplayer, quests, and getting more and more loot. It’s really simple and the character customization is basic - 3 trees with 7 skills each (1 master) that is unlocked as you put more points in the tree.  The weapons are never the same except for the unique ones bosses always carry.  It looks nice and is well done, but plays really well.  You can kill quite a few hours on it the first time through, but once you know what to do I think you can run through it and even skip side quests.

I don’t think BF43 is on PC…

Yeah, I miss ships.  But I think I miss Battlefield 2 with squads and commanders more.

Make sure you have a mic and try out some coop campaign or versus again.  I LOVE being the zombies.  It is such a challenge to take down a good team of survivors and it takes a lot of coordination.

I think that your are incorrect on the schedule regarding length of playoff series.  😐 The schedule is made assuming all playoff series go the distance isn’t it?

I’m not sure, and couldn’t find anything detailing it.  But from what I’ve seen the World Series schedule didn’t get released until after the divisions finished.  Check this link for an example:
