Playing first game tommorrow. some questions so that we can play.
1. so kamakazi is an attack declared when an enemy moves into a sea zone with the kamakazi symbol on it. when i make an attack with my tokens does it function like normal combat? do the tokens act like planes or is something different that the rule book doesn’t mention? for example: if i score a hit with a token is the token removed or does combat continue until they are shot down?
2. how do air bases and sea bases work? when it says adjecant sea zones does it mean the sea zone that the island with the base occupies? or every sea zone touching the sea zone with the island that has the base?
3. i assume that combat moves are all made before anyone conducts combat. is this correct?
4. can planes participate in defending a sea zone without an airbase present on the island/territory that they reside on?

Just got my games….gonna play global this weekend, a question first.
so why dont i have reference sheets for units? i noticed that they dont include cards for each nation like aa50. i guess this was to cut costs on a game that i am already paying more than aa50 for?
just making sure i wasn’t supposed to actually get any. obviously the game is playable without them, they have the charts on the board, just kinda annoying for new players.

RE: Global Gaming Table
we made a table for really cheap. just took one of those 6’ x 2’ tables from any store….the kind they use at gaming shops. anyway, then just buy a 8x4 piece of plywood from your local hardware store. cut it in half and put hinges on it for easy foldable storage. then just throw it on top, along with a table cloth whenever you want to play a large game.
Here is my table in the unfinished basement of a friends house. Got a game of warhammer going on it right now, but you get the idea.

RE: Why were there only 3 play-test games for Global?
I got to agree with MaherC a little here. Its obvious that he’s being a little to zealous, but the point he is trying to make is important. We, as consumers, really need to let the companies know when we feel like we are being taken advantage of. Turning a blind eye and rationalizing away problems through creative personal action is basically telling the company that they can just do it again. I mean, if you want to pay 80 or even 160 for a game that has pretty obvious flaws out of the box then i will gladly print you all a world war 2 game that i made myself. it does require that you all make up some rules so that 1 player doesn’t win every time, in addition you need to print out some stuff to correct some misprints as well.
That cool?
ill even give you all my paypal account info and some pics of the killer artwork.
On a side note to the flame. can anyone give me their personal opinion on AA50 vs global?
