Yea, that was really cool! I kept waiting for the Yamato Star Blazers ship to get involved in the fight as well.
Gotta say, there isn’t a sharper looking outfit in the Empire then the Tie Fighter Pilot.

Here is an article of why the flag was raised in 1961. Interesting read.
I think we may see SC Gamecocks football players boycott games until that particular flag flying over the capitol building is removed. That should lead to other schools refusing to play at SC or even not allowing SC to play at visiting schools, just a prediction.
Of course, with the NCAA, cash is king so this would have to be a movement from the players…we’ll see.
Sure. The best online retailer for this sort of thing is Historical Board Gaming. go there and you will find every piece to almost every AA board game, even some Anniversary pieces. Of course, Ebay is a good way to acquire pieces as well.
I still haven’t told my 8 year-old Dukes of Hazzard loving son that many stores will no longer be selling General Lee merchandise with the flag on the roof. With that announcement, items on eBay that we get usually buy are going through the roof with 20-30 bids! My son loves the die cast 1/25 scale General. over the last few years, we’ve bought at least four or five of them for like $18, Today, those same cars are auctioning off north of $150!
Gotta take it down now SC. If the General Lee can’t rock it, neither can you. :-D
Hey man, welcome to the site!
The Axis and Allies Miniatures are a stand alone game completely different form the board games. The game is stat card driven like most miniature games.
As for incorporating the AA mini pieces into a board game, you could use the infantry scale wise but you’d need a lot of them. Most everything else would be too large but I’ve seen players try to come up with interesting ways and scenarios to use them.
My cousin is trying to drag me to see JP, I’m sure I’ll see it soon.
I went just to see the Golden Gate Bridge get destroyed since I work for the District, too cool. Now, the only movie I need to see other then Mad Max is the new NWA movie which should be amazing if you’re in your 40’s like me :-D
Awesome first piece to collect! Looks great. Welcome to the wonderful world of War at Sea.
I screwed up the movie time and had to watch it in 3D. This was my first 3D movie I’ve seen in theaters since Ice Pirates I think, back in the 80’s. I wear glasses so I’ve always thought today’s 3D glasses were a pain in the balls but they weren’t bad, just wish they were larger. I kept noticing the frames during the movie. George Miller said he made this movie to favor the 2D experience but the 3D version will “hold it’s own.”
The good news Tom Hardy fans, (myself included) is that last month, he signed on for 3 more Mad Max films!
Crazy chase scenes, lunatic bad guys, insane vehicles, hot chic’s, freaky costumes and a flaming guitar was all I hoped to see in this film and I got a sack full. Was kind of exhausted after watching. The first thing I did after the show was take a shower because I felt like I was covered in dirt and gas.
Max was the supporting actor though, give it up to Furiosa!
Fury Road comes out this Friday, Who’s going?
Two of my buddies said the exact same thing about John Wick. I guess I’ll pass.
Now, on August 14th, the N.W.A. movie is set to be released. That along with Mad Max are the two movies I’m really stoked to see. The N.W.A. trailer really looks cool.
Just saw Kingsman, it was a lot better then I thought. Very good action with a lot of humor/cheekiness. I’d say James Bond meets Shaun of the Dead meets Jason Bourne meets Austin Powers. “Yea Baby!” Go see it.
I’m seeing more and more starter sets on eBay for around $25 shipped. Not sure but I think that is about retail when they were first released.
Yea man, I have no patience when it come to painting. That’s why this game appeals to me so much, pre-painted and pre assembled. Thank goodness.
