I had it laminated today onto a white piece of foam board at FedEx ($16.25) and it really looks great.
Bob:
BTW - can you post your battle board again as I have somehow lost the file? I want to have that laminated also.

For anyone interested, I have updated the purchase links and they now work correctly.

Be aware that they do not color the lettering, it is engraved in the surface only, and can be colored in easily with a crayon to make them more legible. Please note that you must use the above links to order the tokens as they will not appear on their website.
……BTW, what was the orange color you matched to the pieces?
I used FolkArt #433 Terra Cotta acrylic paint from Wal-Mart.
NICE! I emailed them and asked if they could make them 10mm or 12mm in length which is about the size of the paper ones in AAP40. I’ll post their answer when I receive it. :-D
A ‘hats-off’ and Bravo Zulu to Larry. Maybe we’ll be able to buy additional pieces as a booster pack in the near future. :-D
Is this a joke or am I missing something? What the Heil is Iron Sky #1???
I like the fact that the AA, industry, and base units are flat but not the fact that they are cardboard. At the very least, they should be plastic or ceramic with a thickness sufficient to pick it up easily.
Happy Holidays To All!!
My temporary solution (until FMG releases their units) is the following:
I purchased two packages ($3.28/package of 4) of the D3AVal Dive Bomber from Brookhurst Hobbies (http://www.brookhursthobbies.com - Item #424) and painted the wings with FolkArt #433 Terra Cotta acrylic paint from Wal-Mart ($1.50). The Val is just sightly smaller than the game Japanese tactical bomber but is larger than the Japanese fighter. I personally like it because it fits on the carrier quite easily. It comes with landing struts but these have to be glued on and I’m just too lazy to do that. :-D Not sure how long the paint will last before chipping but it should work until the FMG release (I’m hoping). The Vals are cast metal and could actually be used ‘as is’ if there are no other unpainted units in the game. I have attached a few pics below. Please excuse their poor quality as my iPhone camera is not real good on close-ups. In the pictures, the Val is in the top-middle and left-middle respectively, surrounded by the game-supplied planes.
@Captain:
…… And, I found out they deliver to Canada from a Canadian address and the US from a US address. Sweeeeet!..
Mine arrived in the US from FMG in Canada via UPS. It was shipped from a Canadian address to a US address. Still….rather quickly, I might add.
Mine arrive this afternoon. I pre-ordered from Field Marshal Games and they shipped on Monday the 14th. It is interesting to see the route taken by UPS from Oshawa, ON, CA:
OSHAWA, ON, CA
BRANTFORD, ON, CA
CONCORD, ON, CA
DETROIT, MI, US
MAUMEE, OH, US
JACKSONVILLE, FL, US
TAMPA, FL, US
It seems that the package had to go through Detroit to clear customs rather than entering into the US at Buffalo, NY, and then going down the East coast (much quicker).
Oh well, who cares?..…its here and its spectacular! :-D
I few weeks ago I found a page on this website that listed different places to buy A&A style pieces/units. In fact, I ordered a few items from Brookhurst Hobbies and they were really nice. However, now I am unable to locate that same page again (my bad, forgot to bookmark it). Can any of you point me in the right direction??
Thanks!
Got an email notice from both UPS and Field Marshal Games that my copy is shipping on 12/14/2009 and will be at my door in Florida on 12/18/2009. Huurah……can’t wait! :-D
what part of Florida do you live in? I live in Gainesville Florida.
Parrish – 40 miles SE of Tampa, near Bradenton.
I was unaware that FMG was located in Canada
I looked at their return address on the package of battle dice that I recently bought and it was some town in Canada.
@Army:
Do FMG ship internationally? I couldn’t see shipping info on the site.
FMG, located in Canada, does ship internationally but you have to contact them with your address and they will give you the shipping charges. Information about shipping on the ‘My Account’ section of their website states:
“Shipping Method:
Flat Rate United States / Canada - UPS/USPS - Will contact International customers for additional shipping as required.”
I don’t have a ‘gaming store’ anywhere near me. I would have to go all the way to Tampa (40m) and the only time I would have to do that would be next weekend. So……ordering on-line is my best option.

The fighter belongs to the Chinese player. This is the one and only fighter the Chinese can control during the entire game.
I understand the rationale now…thanks!
Thanks for the answers “djensen” and “bennyboyg!” In AA50 it was very explicit that the US Fighter based in China, representing the Flying Tigers, could not be replaced by the US if it was destroyed. Consequently, we thought that additional Allied troops also could not be sent to reinforce China. Is there a similar Rule in AAP40 about the Fighter based in Szechwan??
