I like oil rules of some sort. I believe that Germany and Italy can use the fields of Romania and it is no secret that Japan had a limited supply of oil and needed the oil fields of the Dutch East Indies, this would help them keep off of Russia and concentrate on oil and and china.
There are rules for oil in this forum, I know IL has some for his 1939 game.

Amazing….you are the man.

RE: Table Tactics New Product Release
The problem is that we do not want to invest in a new line of miniatures that will not work with the exiting ones we have.
AAA size is what people are using, 1/285 or 1/300 work also with the AAA tanks. Since FMG is doing their line, a good sideline would to do , light and heavy armor, early war fighters, jets, early war battleships, heavy battleships, escort and heavy carriers.
Just ideas, but in the scale of AAA. -
RE: Canada House Rule
I will paint up some British units and make some roundels for Canada so people can add them if they like.
How many of each unit should I put in a set and what color would you suggest? Price for my time and pieces?
I will probably paint some Dutch from Russian units and communist Chinese too.
I think I will paint the Dutch orange and the Communist Chinese red. -

Possibly with different shaped bases.
1. Square base- marines
2. Triangle base- paratroopers
3. Round- regular infantry
4. 5 pointed Star base- commander -
RE: Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread
Did a quick search, and the Italian armored car is pointing backwards.
Is there a quick fix, or are we locked into the current model?
I agree, the turret is facing towards the rear of the car.

RE: Revised Global 1940: New Setup
@Imperious:
The set up has them on coasts, but again though your correct again we are faced with making special rules for the same pieces for different nations. This id like to get away with because the marginal advocate of realism is not paying off in the “fun factor” department. Russian players may want to move them out of harms way and that rule will make the sitting ducks.
You can make it a special rule just for Soviets and Italian subs but for most players that is not the way to do it. Their are many other unrealistic ideas in this game and its very hard to fix everything. Rather lets just worry about the really ridiculous ideas and fix them.
Agreed!

RE: Revised Global 1940: New Setup
I agree with IL on his thinking of this.
I like the numbers you came up with.
Regarding the Soviet and Italian subs, they should be coastal only, Russia did not have ocean going subs.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzDF3HIWQjoI have a couple questions for the ones who play this variation.
1. Do the fortresses become too powerful in this game.
Rolling two extra dice and every Infantry unit bumps up to a three in defence every turn kills any offensive.
(I was thinking it should be only first round, then all units defend back at thiet original numbers.2. The mobile Infantry states cost is 4 Attack/defend 2(3)/2 when paired with artillery.
This unit becomes too powerful.3. Does Vichy French ships have to stay ajacent to their countries or can they go elsewhere unlike the land units who are tied down.
4. Do the Axis Minors have to leave a unit at their end of thier turn in home country (Does this mean purchased at end of turn or always leave on unit in thier home country at all times?)
5. Do you think the Japanes start with too many planes?
6. Do you think the Germans start with too many subs?
7. Which rule are we using for the Chinese? 9 IPC’s per the numbers on the countries?
Count the countries they own and divide by two and add men wherever or on a certain country.
They seem too weak, always get wipes out.8. Are Japan and Russia at war or is there a non-aggression pact?
Any comments are welcome.
