I would gladly support FMG if they put something out. Save us from WOTC!

RE: Poll: Do you play to the Last Stand ?
If I am Japan and not captured, the allies will meet victory conditions before I give up. If I an ally fighting Japan and she wants to surrender, I am fine with that.

RE: Rules Q&A
@KH:
The last sentence, was my question…not a quote.
I believe any combat action against another power is considered an act of war.

RE: Rules Q&A
China purchases units by using IPCs it collects. It can only purchase infantry, unless the Burma road is open then it can also purchase artillery. It can then place these units in any of the territories controlled by China, including ones that China captured in the current turn.

RE: Allied strategy to get U.S.A into the war AFA report
I guess the biggest mistake was to bring the U.K into the war on its own. That allowed Japan to island hop without causing the US to be brought into the war. If Japan could not take the valuable islands without the threat of the US entering it should help keep Japan from growing to quickly and allowing her to pick apart only parts of the allies.
The allies need to stick together. I think the biggest advantage you might have as the allies is that they all go before Japan gets another turn. They can not attack simultaneously, but you do get to maneuver your pieces and can link up or conduct attacks on strongpoints. I never played the old AA Pacific, so I can not speak too much on strategy because my experience is limited.
I think the allies need to be in it together as soon as possible. If they must wait then limit what Japan can do and try to provoke her to bringing everyone into the war. China might be hosed, but maybe they can just delay as much as possible.

RE: Complain to WOTC if you dont like the quality!
You see what is happening here, there is a situation being created. It is the lack of game pieces, chips, paper money. After seeing WOTC bring the new horror of D&D 4th Edition into the world, I realized the length certain minds go to to get an extra buck. The D&D 4th edition powers all classes use to play the game, conveniently came in card sized format. I shuddered to think one day they would peddle these powers to their gamers in card format, just to increase sales further. I was not surprised when the first packs came out. There are other lengths WOTC went to to drain the player base of cash, but this is not the place. I just needed the one example.
Now I look at this plight with the Axis and Allies game. They could be intentionally creating this game piece shortage in the market by putting so few into the new games. WOTC runs the production, they hold the power. Soon they might put out “booster” packs for the games in the form of new IPC paper money, packs of mini’s etc.
Who knows what diabolical schemes are being hatched at WOTC HQ!

RE: SIGN OFF HERE WHEN YOU GET YOUR COPY!
I understand mine arrived a couple of days ago, but is securely hidden in wrapping and under the tree!
I found a box delivered outside on the 17th from Amazon. Its weight, size, shape and sound were consistant of an Axis and Allies game hidden within  I of course told the wifey I didn’t shake it or test it to find out what it might be :-D Now it is wrapped and under the tree awaiting the 25th!

RE: AA 40 Pacific Setup Pictures
I guess I did my good deed for the day then…
I think they said they are hoping for May on the Italians but are very strict about not releasing A DATE. That way no one is disappointed if it’s late.
+1 to you for your avatar and forum name!

RE: Anyone know a good KBF strat
Even if the U.S. is pressured by Japan, they could send a fighter a turn to the U.K. and the U.K. could just stack infantry on the island. Germany also needs to worry about building transports, and a sizable fleet to protect them, and still build infantry and not get ran over by Russia who will probably will be breathing easier.

RE: Question about AA guns
You still only get to use one AA gun, right? The German one you moved to Italy with the radar on it?

RE: Dealing With the Italian Fleet and Securing Africa
I guess you could handle it with a few subs and then do a bombing run from Uk or Brazil and land the bombers in Cauc. If threatened the Italian fleet can be very limited in its ability to move or function. If the fleet is not off Italy it will be hard to put enough ships in at once to not get strafed.

RE: About subs…
He did mention he left out any bomber support he would have stationed in Hawaii. Adding two or three of those into the naval battle would cause one or two more casualties for the Japanese side. Good article to read!
