What are the pros and cons of no DOW on US by Japan
I am Axis in this latest war. I have only tried no DOW on US once. It did work out but I can’t remember how well. US would not collect their 30 IPC, Japan would not come under attack until US4, Japan would still collect 10 IPC, Japan could possibly wipe out China and position for attacks on Anzac, UK and US. If UK or Anzac attacks Japan, would a counterattack bring US into the war? Has anyone tried this?

Can air units fly over strict neutrals
If strict neutral has not been attacked, can air units fly over it in combat or non-combat turn? I am referring to flying an Italian bomber over Spain.
Thanks… -

Amphibious assault on Amur by Japan
I have checked the rules and I think it is okay to do this, but it is unorthodox. This would happen in J11. US has subs and a BB in SZ 6, I have 2 BB, 1 Carrier, 2 fighters ,1 destroyer and 2 transports in SZ 19. I have a major factory in Kiangsu. I want to attack SZ 6 with my warships and fighters and when it clears move 2 transports (which will load from Japan in SZ 6) through SZ 6 and attack Amur from SZ 5. There are no enemy units in SZ 5. I read at the top of page 15 of Axis-Allies-Pacific-1940-Second-Edition pdf that I could do this in my combat move. Is that a correct interpretation?

RE: Can Germany have more than 2 aircraft carriers in play
Thanks taamvan, DizzKneeLand33, barnee, 655321 and Kreighund. I remember the rule in classic but I had not had an occasion to need it until now. Our current game rages on. US destroyed both carriers in SZ 91 but luftwaffe fighters survived.

Can Germany have more than 2 aircraft carriers in play
I have searched for this on the forums and cannot find a reference to it. In the setup for Germany there are 2 pieces for aircraft carriers. I am axis and I started an Africa Korps movement but US entered the war in turn 1. Now I will need 2 carriers to guard the med in SZ 91 but I also want to place a carrier in SZ 113 to counter a possible Russian attack formulated by my cunning opponent. I can use a plastic chip in SZ 91. Is it permissible in the rules for Germany to have 3 carriers in play?

Can a damaged battleship still attack? -AAG40
I have a damaged British Battleship in SZ 111. The zone was attacked by Germany in G1. I want to get it to SZ 109 for repair on my next turn. There are currently 2 German subs there. What I want to do is bring a DD, a fighter squadron and a bomber squadron to SZ 109 to eliminate the subs. Can I move the damaged BB to SZ 109 as well and use it to attack? I have looked everywhere on the site. The only reference I see is that damaged BBs can bombard and also that the only difference between damaged and un-damaged BBs is that they can only take one more hit. I have not seen this referenced.

Captured Capitals
I saw this question posed by Bordeaux on 13 April 2013 but cannot find a response :-(: If you capture an enemy capital city, on your next turn, can you place new land units on their capital city? Also can new Naval units be placed in their sea zones? This would seem natural as in previous versions but I cannot find it in the rulebook or in the forum. Also in WWII 1942 there were some excellent templates published that had the setup cards for each country. Are there any available for WWI?

1942 amphibious assault blocked question
I have been playing this game starting with the original for about 16 years now :-(. I dig it :-D I have a question. In our current game, I am the Axis (GER and JAP) my opponent is the Allies (US, UK and RUS). He attacked the Baltic with a sea battle first and announced an amphibious assault on my beloved GER if it cleared. I had 2 sub squadrons and a fully loaded Carrier in place in the Baltic, I announced my subs would surface for surprise attack defense. He took all but one sub. We researched under the Errdata and FAQ’s to find that he could not do his amphibious assault because of the presence of a sub squadron on the surface.
I have looked everywhere and my question is this: Does his assault force remain in the water with all loaded transports, can it retreat if so to what location.

Weapons Development for captured capital
I have been playing this game about 13 years now and I have never come up against this situation until now.
1. I am Axis (GER and JAP), opponent is Allies (UK, RUS and USA)
2 Opponent (a novice) has Heavy Bombers and Industrial Technology for both UK and USA.
3. I am close to capturing either country (although all of us always think we’re close).
4. I already have RUS.
5. If I capture UK or USA, does the conquering country get the weapons technology?
6. I have looked everywhere and did not see this scenario addressed.Opinions, guidance?
