Folgore here (Dan)…Apologies for deleting the post of pics from yesterday. I had to resize them as they were a little too big and blurry…

We had another glorious event and it was an honor to play with these gents. We welcome our newest player – Tony! Hopefully we see Mark (AAgamer) and Carl get to join us next time, as-well-as anyone else who would like to join us.

For clarity, I added some brief captions to most pics to give you an idea of what was going on and who was controlling what country, etc. I am extremely happy with how the pics came out on my Nikon SLR. Hope you enjoy them, too!..

I would like to donate this Tiger Tank (I painted and dolled up recently) to the next battle at the General’s Fortress, November 16th. If accepted, he will serve proudly for the German player on the Eastern Front or in the Ardennes.

    • RE: 👋 Introduce or Re-Introduce Yourself (Current)

      Hello all,

First time here…my name is Daniel and I’m from Wisconsin. I have fond memories playing Axis and Allies classic when I was a younger. I recently ordered the Anniversary edition and am looking to exchange ideas and minds with other WW2 history-loving gaming enthusiasts and war strategists. Recently I have played a lot of Hearts of Iron 3 (on PC) but I long for the nostalgia of playing A&A again. Nothing beats the excitement of playing a game in person with fellow history buffs. Hit me up if you’re in or around Kenosha, WI (SE corner of Wisconsin, between Milwaukee and Chicago) and are interested in playing. Would be nice to find others passionate about the game and history since my family isn’t as much as I am (I’m trying to get my nephew into it).

Have a great day and game on! :)

      Sincerely,
      Daniel

Was indeed an awesome game! Thanks Mark (AAGamer) for joining us, was very nice to meet and play A&A with you. As always, thank you, Ray (SS GEN), for hosting such a glorious event. Please see some of the pics below that I took during the game.

I tell ya, I learn something new each time I play. Whether its success or failure, this game is so dynamic and fun. And it’s good to see a steady stream of players each month, let’s keep this momentum going all year long!

Re: ITALY & CHINA COMBAT DICE - Help us design them!

Saw this old thread and wanted to get some of their dice. And although their website is up, many broken pics and links and you can’t add anything to your cart.
I see this account hasn’t been on since 2015 so it seems safe to assume they’re not around anymore. Anyone know?

      Thanks,

@aagamer Oh, stop – you look great! Haha

You are in luck – no sound. Since it is in warp speed mode, any audio would have been like chipmunks talking. LOL

You’re welcome regarding FEC, thanks for letting me play Italy! It’s nice to bounce around different countries. Good luck on the new board building, too! Indeed, was a great time. :D

      Ray,

The event on May 22nd at the General’s Fortress was a glorious event as always. Per our discussion, it looks like Gopro videos are too big to be uploaded on this forum as we suspected. I will have to edit any videos and post them on youtube.

In the mean time, below is a link to one of the unedited videos which shows the action from the battle of Moscow in time warp speed. A quick one but gives a nice view of the action in the room and your new battle map.

To all: Please let me know if the link and video works properly and comes in clear for you. Enjoy!

@SS-GEN Considering you don’t have any painted tanks, yes, it will stand out like a sore thumb. lol But if you’re worried about that, we don’t have to use it. I can keep it for my Anniversary map. Your call.
