@dawg Must be some big planning going on. Just stick to the Schlieffen Plan, or the plan before that, which was knock Russia out first?

Took a look at the 2 x2 1914 game of PP, Witt, Dawg & Entek. What a crazy looking map! Only turn 11 and USA has the biggest fleet in the Med, Turks and Brits must have sank each other. Greece is still alive and well. Austria’s eastern front has only 2 units, while G took Belarus. Rus has few units on Euro front and Commies ready to break out in the East, but R has Scand. G has Singapore and Sarawak, and a fleet in GNG. G is outflanking UK in Africa. This is madness.
Entente maintains big income lead over CP. But if R folds, CP have a chance.

@entek: Even though Colt kept the Russian save game name, it includes Communists turn, so you may want to save it under a different name.

Wow, Belg is cursed for the Entente. After France’s great odds failed, I rolled 0-9 in the first 3 rounds, finally won.

Wow, Brits tech luck from last game transferred to me in this game. 1 tech die on the opening round and I got a hit. If this continues like in the last game, it will be sweet.

BTW, I reached out to Redrum, but he said he will be away for at least a month, so he declined to join this game.

Previously, we removed the industry tech benefit for T because the consensus was that infantry and tech was too much benefit. So we removed the industry tech and found that just infantry wasn’t enough. So it seems the best compromise was to restore the industry tech, since getting a tech is dependent on chance, luck, and getting the 1 out of 3 tech that T really needs, was even more uncertain. And, eliminate the infantry, which is of smaller benefit.

Following the thread was difficult with its twists and turns, but it does look like in the end, we’re returning to both tech and 3 infantry for T, and nothing for G but a lump of coal from the Ruhr.

Restoring industry tech to T is the most important thing, so I can live with the infantry as icing on the cake. And would be happy to play T under these conditions.

That might be interesting, but at this point, let’s just go with the current treatment for T, the prior treatment or just tech no inf.

choose either:
A) keep as is just 3 infantry for T
B) or T gets 3 infantry and industry tech as used to be
C) or T gets just industry tech
D) or go with whatever the majority decides

@witt Agreed, then forget minor IC.
@Elrood Agreed, I say industry tech is iffy to get and thus preferable as a bid, compared to a few infantry.

So I propose just the industry tech, or if the T player chooses, just the 3 infantry.
