RR is enough.
Anyway, often the best player are going for Japan or Germany for the challenge and the liberty. Axis (even more with RR) are rhythming the game.

Am i alone to believe the Russians are the most boring of all. I know there is some options, but they are quite limited compared the other nations, it just seem playing only the Russians is being totally dependant of the other allies.
First, GeZe, your friend is an animist (one who practices animism)
Maybe… but it could be also a polytheist. Celtics ritual are often called “withery”, and those who worship Cernunnos and Belenus often call themself “witch”, and it’s not animism, it’s polytheism. So it’s not necessarely animism.
When I say I am Agnostic, I believe there is something out there. I think there is probably an afterlife. But, I personally think all organized Religions are just lies, claiming they know the real truth. The reality is, no one knows. Not a single person on the planet really knows.
Thanks for the answer.
First of all, why should we give a sh*t what a silly high school kid thinks?
If you don’t care, don’t read komrade. It’s better having an opinion and expressing it, than having no opinion and following the mob, no ?
It’s never that simple, religion is also a stable explanation of the universe and of morality… there’s also other hypothesis in sociology i’m not really aware of.
The ideas were love, freedom, compansion, goodness, and honesty. I doubt there is a peson here who would dispute that these are great attributes.
Agreed, but it does’nt make it true.
Sorry if this post is rambling, kinda formulating my thoughts as I type…
An extroverted ?
As I said before, I am an Agnostic
Here can you please Yanny explain me what’s an “agnostic”, because it’s not the same for some people, there is confusion with the word Agnostic and Atheism. If Atheism is the affirmative claim that god does’nt exist, i am an agnostic… Personnaly i think like Russel on this subject; i don’t believe in god because of the lack of theistic evidence, but i cannot say i can prove god does’nt exist. He wrote about Atheism and Agnosticism;
Here there comes a practical question which has often troubled me. Whenever I go into a foreign country or a prison or any similar place they always ask me what is my religion. I never know whether I should say “Agnostic” or whether I should say “Atheist”. It is a very difficult question and I daresay that some of you have been troubled by it. As a philosopher, if I were speaking to a purely philosophic audience I should say that I ought to describe myself as an Agnostic, because I do not think that there is a conclusive argument by which one prove that there is not a God. On the other hand, if I am to convey the right impression to the ordinary man in the street I think I ought to say that I am an Atheist, because when I say that I cannot prove that there is not a God, I ought to add equally that I cannot prove that there are not the Homeric gods.
By Pagan he’s probably refering to the ancient european polytheistic religion like the Celts with Belenos/Cernunnos/Taranis, the Norse with Odin/Tyr/Frigg, et cetera… They were celebrating the winter solstices, which is a good thing with the sun hiding most of the days, it’s normal we have more holidays, it’s the good time, when people tend to be more depressed (not that i don’t like winter).
I think it was better.
…but if i remember right there was’nt that story with Arwen.
Catholics are the most evenly split politically, of any religion in America. (In 2000 49% voted for Gore, 47% voted for Bush) The Jews vote left, evangelical christians vote right.
The “center” in America is rightish, Democrat are’nt leftish. And i’m surprised Catholic vote so much for Gore. In Germany the Catholic were very conservative, and even if i think the Democrat are conservative I thought American catholic were more encline to vote for Bush.
Agreed
The showcasing of good vs. evil was poignant in all respects.
It’s fantasy.
We call that having a social conscience, i’m of the “advantaged”, because i am making high studies, but this does’nt justify that i will have better rights, it would be arrogant and injustified, i don’t want better treatments, better lawyer, that would be more like parasitism. I don’t consider i am an higher being or more important than a commercant or a cook, i am not working harder, and even if i am we have to consider the “whole”, not only the parts, i just had the potential to make to the university, so what, i should be considered an higher citizen, with better rights ? Don’t you have a social conscience, or you only think about yourself ? And how will you make your money, who will pay for that ?
For me, i don’t just want some doctor doing operations on my brain, I want THE BEST - the one who worked harder than everyone else, who learned more.
What’s that, if not egoism ?
Competition - it worked for evolution, it can work in society.
Sorry but this is not that simple. You found like a social Darwinist. With this rethoric you can justify war and holocaust. War is armed competition between states, and it’s the product of competition. Also i find it funny, that someone from a religion like chritianism, who does’nt believe human are animal, believe we are working like “animals”, even i, that believe we, humans, are animals, don’t believe we have to work exactly like most of them, because like Engels said, our hands and our conscience give us more choice, like ants and other beings we are marginal.
Jimmy Carter may not have been a great president, but he ranks among one of the best, most active past-presidents. You could learn a thing or two about him.
I obviously don’t know much about all your president, but i always thought Carter was one of the best.
About Marx and Democracy, i know he said something like “democracy is the road to communism” or something like that, but 1; he did not believe in the current (in his time) democracy, 2; he thought revolution was inevitable in lots of situation. I don’t want to bash against Marx, the guy is admirable, as Engels, the context was not the same as it is now.
what a joke.
equal power? just because everyone has equal amounts of one currency (money) does not mean that’s something we should work towards (i see examples of this every day), nor does it mean that its an equal society for everyone as different currencies will arise and the “ruling classes” will be defined by some other currency.
It’s still very close, money is power to buy, and in very capitalistic soceity, it’s power to have better lawyer, better medicare, better live, better education. It’s not only injustice, it’s antisocial, the rich have better right.
Competition and profit, like many other things can be excellent motivators or they can work against society. I’m a very competitive person, and i am working towards many profits - monetary, life experience, wisdom, etc.
If we could live in a society without competition (it’s not for now), we could maybe live peacefully, without destroying our neibourg. Also Cuba is the best victory of communism for now, it’s not very big, “great” is exagerated, but it’s still better than North Korea and than China, if we can call china a communist country anymore. Anyway, like i find, communism is loosing for now, it’s more in the mind of intellectuals than in pratice.
Marx believed in different kinds of communist revolution…
Marc firmly believe that one day, the proletarians will revolt. In his context he was right but we are not living in the same world as he did.
A pure communist society works without money. It is only that the people each have equal opportunities without economic inequality.
We are far from the last state of communism…
I really wonder how well cuba could be without the US embargo…
Communism, is, for now, loosing. But i think it’s inevitable, it’s a step we’ll have to pass someday; just imagine, it’s pure utopy; everyone has equal power (money), the perfect harmony of a society, it would not encourage competition, avidity, not those who are polluting to make better profit. Even if you don’t believe it will work, i think it’s still a noble goal, with strong will we can achieve communism, but i do not believe in the communist revolution, anyway not in the sence of Marx.
About Cuba, it’s a pretty great victory, they’re doing very well even with the santion by the USA, i’m not saying Castro is clean, but at least not as currupted as Bastista. And Chile failed because of the USA, the CIA does not seem to embrace Democracy when America risk to loose money.
No one said anything about holding it. In my game against cameron, the point of taking Brazil is that he will re-take it, and divert an important trannie heading for Africa with it.
Changement is the key element. But in normal time i don’t see the point of taking Brazil.
Exept the word “spiritual”, as the words “god”, “christiany”, “good” and “evil” are not present in the text of CC, i completly agree. And Deviant; you will learn that the difference between the poor nation and the rich one will be more and more problematic, we will have to live as one people someday. I know it’s not for tomorrow, but at least we should try, and strating by stopping saying it’s all their fault, we are in part guilty of their poverty.
Also it’s hard to “help youself” when you are not eating enough.
well, i can see your amusement FS
I doupt you can really see CC, for me the idea of angels and deamons was always highly comical, even when i was christians my parent always told me it was just image. So the idea that some people at there, maybe even here, believe that i am sent by satan or deamon, it’s just amusing.
but really for someone who tries to shine the light of objectivity, education, and reason on the world, you might well have gone with “window”
Bah… a nick, i had no other idea anyway. I always fight for social developpement, with communist or now with secular humanist, i obviously don’t want to shed obscurantism. You will not agree with my fight against religion and the conception of god, but i am not driven by hate or by personnal motive, i just want to fight obscurantism (obviously, fight is in a purely philosophical point of view).
Maybe there is some self-fulfilling prophecy, n’est pas?
You obviously don’t know me. But now that you talk about it, i am drinking much more blood these time. :)
Nazism is the perfect example of what poverty can do. Hitler rose during the deepest trench of the Great Depression. The German people were 10x worse off than Americans were, as were most Europeans. Hitler took advantage of this, and was able to seize power. He was able to use the Jews as scapegoats, successfully controlling the hate of the German people.
Not just poverty; humiliation.
Also isn’t “finstern” German for “window”? Or is that finestre and French?
i’m sooo confused. You’re a confusing guy FS. If indeed you are a guy. Maybe you’re a lesbian . . . ahhh well, it’s not like the world doesn’t have too many of those either . . . .
In what am i confusing ? And no, it’s not window. It’s darkness, haha, i have more fun than all of you writting down my nick, but as you do believe in “evil” and “good”, you probably don’t find it funny at all :), anyway if i take this nick, it’s because at first you make me think of that guy who call me darkness because i tried to be objective.
And in French, window is fenetre with the accent ciroconflex over the second e, am I right? I hope French studies here in Canada have helped me learn something.
You’re right, fenêtre.
Really, it would do christians a lot of good to excommunicate the entire cast of the 700 club.
Someone know of what denomination Paterson is exactly ?
True, that was pretty funny… but now imagine they gain influence… that’s scary!
I always think Stoiber was a fool… but this is nothing compare to these guys :)
These people would offer their daughters to me to have sex with
Hey, you don’t have the right to have sex before you get married :)
They are completely honest. I wonder if Finsternis can accuse them of anything besides believing fallacies…
I never said christians were not honest, caring or that they had no social conscience, i just believe they live in a world of illusions, when one guy at school said i was “finsternis” because i was questionning the existance of god, i find that was completly out of reality. And there is people out there that believe Atheist and Secular Humanist are possesed by deamons.
Anyway i already said it i did’nt want to bash at christianism, i just provide some funny quote of “famous” fundamentalist, and you should note that i use the word “fundamentalist”, and not only “christians”, i know most christians are not like that, so i prefer to call Paterson a fundamentalist.
true but im tying to debate this from Falks point of veiw mate
How could you defend an ideology as irrational and anti-humanistic as nazism ?
