splitting russia would be impossible, but since the Uk is already going to run like two powers that is possible and US is going to be economic powerhouse that needs to focus is assets in both directions, it can be split into someone running the pacific side of the board and someone else the atlantic. Those two would need to be willing to work very closely together though.

RE: My way of balancing pacific 1940, good for j1, j2, and j3
Yea, I like this change to the OOB rules the best because it only changes one little think that does have absolutely no change on a J2 or J3 attack

RE: Will Anyone Play Europe 1940 Separately?
You could even have 11 players and make a western us player and an eastern us player.

RE: Larry talks about his Global Game more
My bet would still be for Russia because even though he does speak well of how Germany is doing he seems to be even more proud of the fact that Russia has held out for such a long time and is still very strong.

@Proud:
Well the turn order (in global) is…
1. Germany
2. USSR
3. Japan
4. UK
5. ANZAC
6. Italy
7. USA
8. China
9. FranceAlso France and China are supposed to be played by another allied player, but don’t need to.
I know but like I said we have 9 people and we agreed when we get global (I payed for all so their mine :-D) we will take turns. We draw out of hat for frist time then switch off.
You could, sense France will be knocked out of the game one round one or two have that person be India.

He also seemed rather proud if how well Russia was holding up.

RE: Axis and Allies victory fairness
I think people give up too easy. As soon as it gets hard then they think all hope is lost. Great games go back and forth. I played a friend once and I was the axis and as soon as russia fell he began to give up, but I had 0 navy and Japan was pretty much confined to the home island. If he knocked out Japan it would have been a struggle for asia since the US could have focused 100% on those territories and it was going to take a while for Germany to get strength over there (not to mention its a lot of territories to cover from half a world away)
If you are sick of the game that is one thing, but giving up because your side starts to loose is another. I never get sick of the game so I like to play till the end, but I never have because I’m afraid my opponent will never play me again if I did that.
In your game Germany was economical power house and if the us left the uk helpless the Germans would have enough time to take out the uk before the us takes out the Japanese. Japan at that point had probably a good stack of units on japan while uk didn’t really have all that many. Germany can hammer the uk while the us needs to build a large landing force to take out japan. This game you describe here the Germans were basically locked.

RE: Allied victory too easy!!!!!
If you look at the objectives of the game they are really the same as what most players usually play. Most players concede once a power has fallen and there is no chance of liberation. All the axis need to do is take a power out of the game, Russia. (Don’t even mention anything about France. Taking out France doesn’t count.) Once the Allies Take out Germany the game is basically over. IF you play by standard rules than yes the allies will have it way harder because the cities the axis need they either start with or take one their pursuit of IPCs and NOs. The Allies need to reverse all of those gains and then take their capital, which will take many waves of allied troops to destroy all of the units the axis powers will build to defend.

RE: DIY tuck box inserts
Yeah hard paper would me nice. I made mine out of the flimsy stuff and it doesn’t do a very good job during transport but they keep everything nicely separated during play.

RE: Buy this in eBay or store

RE: Larry talks about France
Yeah but here on the forums it has been acceptedly that the uk player will controll France
-
RE: Larry talks about France
It will be the uk then since they’re susposed to control France also. But I know I am going to be making a box for france because two powers in one box is going to be a pain the butt. If it was like china with only inf I wouldn’t care butt digging threw two powers with full armies will drive me crazy. So I’ll make another box in woodshop
-
RE: Larry talks about France
No. they might just release the game in a bigger box for 6 nation boxes
-
RE: Which would you rather play - 1941 or 1942
I like both but right now 42 because the axis still have a chance.
