First of it sounds like you really need to buy more infantry. If Russia is building 4 tanks a turn and Germany builds 8, then surely Russia takes a beating, but if Russia is building mainly infantry instead, then they have a much better defense, and soon they will bleed Germany dry of infantry. This means Germany soon loses tanks for inf, which is a good deal for Russia, or they start building inf on their own, to get the cheaper casualties.
USA should be happy to build inf and tanks to cleat out Alaska, if they get the chance to destroy Japanese planes.
In general Russia needs lots of inf to hold the line against Germany, US and UK must build transports and start sending troops to pressure Germany and relief Russia.
The problems the allies experience in the first games you play is usually lack of coordination. You need an overall idea of you want to play the game, and you must plan ahead and know where each nation’s units is going to be next round.

RE: Overbuilding Transports with UK
I think 6 transport is optimal, because 12 units hitting Western og Berlin is a serious threat and it also tend to discourage an attack from german airforce.

RE: Siberian Units
like what? sending in tons of figs? Seems like a waste to me, if the allies are spending their ipc on figs that are going to defend Sinkiang.

Attacking the Med fleet
When and how do you usually take out the German Med fleet? I would asume that you use US, but how many resources do you use?

RE: UK 1st turn Pacific/Indian moves
@ncscswitch:
The thing is, you can pretty much take out the US with a lesser landing than that…
Japan lands in Alaska and WCan from SZ63
Japan lands in Mexico from Hawaii
Germany lands in Panama, Cuba, and ECan.
USA (the 48 states) has not been TOUCHED , but they are effectiely out of it, at least for many, many turns (unless the UK can get the German ships, or Russia can kick Japan out of Asia in the same turn)How are you going to pull of a landing like that? Germany shouldn’t have a chance of landing t three different territories

RE: UK 1st turn Pacific/Indian moves
Does anyone use the fgt and transport to hit africa and take it back instead of messing with Japan?
Yeah I usually do, and I often bring the bomber to, because retaking Egypt is way more important than just annoying Japan.

Alternative allied strategy
Okay I haven’t really had time to testplay this, but what do you think of a strategy where both UK and USA offloads in algeira every turn. Then march the troops through africa and middle east, then can choose to attack either Germany or Japan. The strategy has been seen with the USA only, with great effect, so I wondered if it worked even better if Uk joined, or is the progress to slow?

RE: How do you typically play the Americans?
@ncscswitch:
KGF. Shuck via WUS builds.
Invest Algeria strong to control Africa and threaten Southern.
Keep the option of a Pacific Raiding Party available to keep Japan honest and reduce pressure from the east on Moscow.I agree with that, but how do you keep the option of a Pacific Raiding Party? You don’t actually leave boats on the west coast, do you?

RE: Practical Counter to Pearl II
Yes, it is cripple Japan first.
With Operation torch by UK and US T1 UK can handle Africa alone. And afterwards the US goes island hopping. Just keep tthe Indian fleet alive until they may merge with the american and japan is corneredI don’t hope this isn’t a stupid question but what is Operation torch? How does uk help best in a kjf?
