They get one strike per turn.
If no destroyer is present then the “Surprise Strike” means if it hits the defender doesn’t get to return fire.
If there is an enemy destroyer present, there is no “Surprise Strike”. Just regular combat as normal.

I don’t think you could build that much as the US as you can only build 9 units until you are war. Unless you build up your factory but then that money is gone too. Are you guys playing OOB rules or something?
Only in Non-Combat correct? Or can one ship stop there and sink the transport and the others continue on to other combat?
Unescorted Transport in seazone. Can one ship stop and destroy transport and rest of the ships pass through the seazone on same turn?
Quick answer please!!!
Sweet. Just in time. Printed these off and they look good too.
Thanks again.
Thanks.
BTW, they look AWESOME printed out on 11x17 paper double sided.
Great Job.
That’s what I thought. The log sheet isn’t in that order.
Only other thing I would change is the Country order to reflect the Alpha +2 setup. Unless it’s changed again and I hadn’t noticed.
I like your National Advantages. How do you determine which ones you are able to use and what does each do for the game? I like this idea.
I know this is probably in the manual but I don’t have it in front of me…
Can UK India with it’s builds place them in South Africa or are they limited to just India?
Thanks,
Ah! OK. That’s what I thought. I didn’t think they could prior to turn 4.
So, what your saying is that Russia can declare war on Italy and not Germany. In doing so, it can then go into Persia. What does this do for the “at war” NO’s?
I hope I didn’t come across too much like bitching. I love the work you guys are doing. I’ve put in my 2 cents when I thought it deemed it. Keep it up.
But let’s finish……
That’s what I thought. My buddy kept telling me it’s only for the USSR NO. Of course he always plays Germany. :-P
I agree with all that you said and a bunch of people agree with you as well and I do appreciate all the work that goes into it.
My only point is that a lot of this should have been done before hand. OR…… Let’s not keep posting new setups and wait for one that works. With the latest Alpha +2 setup, I can’t really see what needs to be improved. What are you guys looking at? This is a great set up. I personally just think if any more setups are posted, it should be the FINAL one. That’s all I’m saying.
Thanks and I’ll be quiet now. (for a little while)…
You are right. You cannot have fully loaded transports. However, you can have 5 or 6 transports sitting on the coast with all the troops and tanks and artillery and mech inf just waiting. It makes the Germans keep an eye on the US and slam everything into USSR or UK. It is a great deterrent.
Once at war, if the Russian sub can get to seazone 125, does it count for Convoy route and Germany is minus 2 IPC’s? I have been told that that Convoy route is only for USSR bonus.
Thanks,
When I play the US, my first priority is to make sure the UK has a threat behind them for Germany. I make sure I have at least 5 full transports on the ready to go to Europe. The rest goes to the Pacific. That’s turn 1. Turn 2 is 2 bombers for Europe and the rest for Pacific. You will more than likely go to war first in the Pacific, but if you don’t cover yourself in Europe, the UK will surely fall. Turn 3 you need a couple of destroyers for Europe. Just in case the UK couldn’t handle all the subs. If the UK did handle the subs, buy another bomber. You and the UK will need to start SBR’s ASAP.
I wouldn’t call it any type of split. Just think of what your plan is and buy accordingly.
I thought the Alpha+2 were the final? Please, no more changes. Or if you are, please make them the final or don’t post until they are. This is getting too much.
