They are also used so your dice don’t roll all over the table and bounce pieces of the game around. Or so they don’t roll onto the floor and cat takes them around the house.
Great maps by IL. Downloaded and printed 2 39"x59" maps.
…which makes me think of some of the impressive work IL has done. I really like your stuff, IL, but it would be even cooler if you had one with colors and country logos (and maybe even font matches with the new boxes) all designed to complement FMG’s dice/ pieces/ boxes. Have you been working on something like that already? If not, are you considering it?
I would think you couldn’t resell those as the layout pretty much belongs to A&A. IL made a nice map and you can print it out at Kinko’s or online. I took those maps and blew them up to 30x56 (give or take). I plan on making an bigger one to use at CON’s. It will be approx 40x70 when finished.
Played another double blind game this past weekend. Great time. I’ve only played this a few times and love it. I was Russia this time out and got crushed.
A couple of the guys who played are frequenters on the boards and I’m sure they can add more to what I am posting.
I wanting to thank Imperious Leader for his maps for play. I printed out 2 of his AAA50HE maps for use. Each one was 30"x56" I believe. Huge and Gorgeous.
I’m trying to see if I can get a Double Blind game going at TotalCON Feb 18-21. If I can get enought people to commit to playing, I want to print out maps that are approx 40"x75". It will need 4 x 8ft tables to play.
Here are a couple of pics of the game boards. Russian troops are noticeably absent as they are now speaking German…;-)
Band of Brothers is #1 WWII Film, series, TV show, whatever.
Saving Private Ryan is good as well.
The Big Red One, Patton, Das Boot, U-571, The Great Escape, The Dirty Dozen are all good as well.
The Black Sheep Squadron was good TV series as well.
As for WWII Era films with no historical value what so ever but great entertainment…
Victory (Sylvestor Stallone, Pele Soccer movie)
