RE: Neutral Blocks
Hey Sarge. This is a one time investment, if you miss on your first turn then you can still rule every following turn until you get your hit. I like the 1 on a 1d6 because multable countries can all try for the same country. In our last game both US and Germany paid for Spain, Germany succeeded and claimed spain and america lost it IPC’s it had invested into it. My group uses it’s own set of tech’s and one of them is diplomacy Lv1 through Lv3 Each lv adds a +1 to your chance of success.
5) Diplomacy
Lv 1- Local Aid- 7 IPC’s -Gain a +1 on your diplomatic rolls.
Lv 2- Silver Tounge- 10 IPC’s -Gain a +1 on your diplomatic rolls.
Lv 3- Golden Tounge- 13 ICP’s -Gain a +1 on your diplomatic rolls. -

RE: Neutral Blocks
Hey guys loving this thread this is what my group has been using for the last month ( This is not for historical purpaces only for extra options during game play ). These rules come out of our houserule book.
24. Strict Neutral Convertion- You can try to have a strict neutral sway your way by rolling a 6 on a 1D6 and a cost of 5 IPC’s per IPC that country generates. This happens after the purchase unit phase and before the conduct combat phase. Tell all players which country(s) you wish to try to sway to your side, you have to have at least 1 infantry unit capable of landing in said country(s) on the combat movement phase on the same turn as a negotiator, this unit only moves into the country if you are successful in swaying it to your side. If successful claim the countries infantry and IPC output.
25. Attacking a Strict Neutral- If you attack a strict neutral all remaining strict neutrals in that block become Pro(your enemy)
BLOCKS
South America Europe Middle East
Venezuela- 2ipc’s, 2inf Sweden- 3ipc’s, 6inf Turkey- 2ipc’s, 8inf

RE: NFL Playoffs
I’m sorry dude but i dont think the pats d is even on the same planets as the ravens. and the steelers tore thiers apart everytime they needed to.
-
RE: Which NFL team(s) do you root for?
Proven once again steelers are the champs of the north, if they can come back from 14 points behind against the ravens defence they can do it against any one’s. First team to get 6 rings and maybe the first to get 7.

RE: FMG COMBAT UNITS - Rules: AIR TRANSPORT
In our house rules bombers act as air transports and can carry two Paratroopers to and beyond the front line. These brings up a couple problems for both attackers and defenders. For attackers you have to choose wether you would rather use your bombers on SBR, as attackers or air transports. And for the defender you have to keep troops in strategic places so paratroopers cant land behind your lines. Air transports are targeted everytime they fly over a territory containing AA guns and can be intercepted by fighters if they fly over airfields containg fighters. Fighters are capable of escorting air transports. Follow SBR rules for interceptor and escort attacks, air transports do not get an attack.

RE: Lessons Learned Global 1940
1- Sometimes leaving a lone soldier on the front line is a very helpful tactic. IE: Germany wants to move its troops towards moscow as quickly as possible, by leaving the one Russian infantry out front to absorb the german front line soldiers and aircraft, you can counter attack the Germans and NOT have to worry about enemy fighters rolling at a four and decimating your troops. The result is you trade that single territorys IPC’S over and over and the Russians IC’s are close enough to reinforce these fronts if your primary purchase’s are mechs, tanks and maybe a fighter or two.

RE: Which NFL team(s) do you root for?
Who needs a super bowl your going to watch the best game of the season this saturday in heinz field. If you don’t watch the Steelers or the Ravens nows the time to start it’s going to be a blood bath. Harrison, Polumolu, Rothlisberger, Pouncy, Farrior, Wallace, Ward, And many other great players VS Suggs, Reed, Flaco, Boldin, Lewis, Stallworth, And many other great players. Name me any other teams with this many superstars on the same field in any sport. This is going to be a game to remember. And thank god i got tickets. HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO! On the way to number 7

RE: Alpha +1 Setup for pac40?
It was with the Alpha+1 Rules and troop posisitions with OOB NO’s. On J1 1 i went strait into china with land and air units, moved my entire fleet south towards india and transported troops south from manchuria and japan. J2 continued push into china and posistioned navy off the coast of malaya. J3 conquered china, destroyed brit navy and scrambeled fighters. J4 amphibious assault on india with 4 trannys loaded with inf + tanks and art and every navy ship capable of assault and about 70% of my air power other 30% already heading Back to Japan. India fell on J4. On J5 conquered money islands, malaya, Phillipeens and moved half of my navy and air force towards austrialia and the other half back towards japan. Oh Yea i pretty much only bought cruisers and my northern navy had like 12 of them maybe more cant really remember. But with india the money islands and china under control there was nothing the US and Anzac could do they were outnumbered in manpower and IPC’s.

Alpha +1 Setup for pac40?
Is it just me or does it still seem way to easy for japan to destroy the allies, and when i say destroy i mean it. I was japan for the last two games and the allies didn’t stand a chance, the game was basically over before it got started and it wasn’t the fault of the allies tactics. China and india were both gone on J4 and the americans and anzac combined equaled maybe 60% of the entire jap fleet and maybe 30% of thier air power. MY QUESTION IS should pac40 be removed as a single game and only played as a part of global or is there something im missing here. Please reply looking forward to your thoughts on this because as is i highly doubt anyone in my group will be breaking down the door to play pac40 again.

Pacific 40 W/ Alpha+1 rules?
I have just finished two games of Pacific 40 w/ the alpha+1 setup rules and i need a few answers, really appreciate any help.
- Is america supposed to collect all of thier no’s after there at war, europe ones included. I only ask this because i was japan for both games and i completely dominated the allies, and it wasn’t because poor plaiing by the allies they really had no chance.
Breakdown
Turn 3 japan finishes off the last of the chineese and have thier ships off the coast of mallay.
Turn 5 Japan wipes out india and remaining fleets, there are two now are positioned off of japan and iwa jima.
At this time the allies surrendered because japan now has twice the fleet of america and almost twice the ipc’s. (This game was over before it started and the second game followed the exact same course even with the allied players switching forces.
Is japan to strong with the alpha+1 setup, i know there weaker than oob but it still seams 1 sided to me, i mean it was a total massaccer.
Oh yea i even took french indo-china on the first round both games and didn’t get the ten ipc bonus. I need help to understand how how the allies have a chance

RE: Soviet Battleships
Mine was a game of global 40, i had 5 tranports off the coast of girbralter each with inf and tanks and two cruisers with the trannys. on americas attack phase i went for south france were the italians had 6 inf. those 6 inf decimated the americans (no survivors). at the end of the turn there was 1 lonly italian still standing in southern france. i must say i was pretty pissed.
