I did but he lost the rules teaes ago.
No there ws no “offical” expansion, but many third party companies made expansions for the game.

I havw multiple copies of 2nd rules around. The rulea do not come with pillboxes, kamikaze tokens, destroyers, or crusers.
Hey so my dad loves axis and allies. My dad currently has all of them… even the nova game one (although in a battered state). He has these strange tokens for classic. They have destroyers, kamikazes, pillboxes, no fly zones, and more. I have been trying to find the rules online but cant. Any help?
I have heard some ideas floating around that Germany should have a factory in Munich. I was thinking that ther might be a possibility that ther could be more. I was think you could put a factory in rhe following
Budepest
Munich (Ruhr if you wan to be historical accurate)
Canada
Any thought?
Not tomention russia as well. Germany lost an entire army and general due to suppliea and being encircled.
Thx for the suggestions. I never thought about buying bb. Good catch!
I guess this is really a problem in games like revised where there is no way to convoy. I mean, this scenario doesnt happen often, but it has happened.
Hey so I have one issue with Axis and Allies.
Say the Allies have liberated France, took Poland, and are on the doorsteps of Berlin. That’s where what I like to call “phony war” syndrome. Its where both sides do not want to attack each other. For if the Allies attack, and lose, then Germany survives and may have enough to take back some territories. Germany Doesn’t what to attack, cause he will lose his capital. Its even worse for Japan. With Some foresight, Japan can become a fortress, having huge stacks of infantry, and lots of planes. Its almost impossible to amphibious assault Japan with Transports. Maybe if it was like one round of combat, it would fix this. Eventually however, the Allies just out produce Germany and maybe Japan, but it takes longer than it should. Any suggestions?
How about we abandon vc and go for a straight capture two capitals? One of those capitalsites for the allies has to each Tokyo and one for the axis has to be Moscow. Calcutta would not count.
What do you guys think of Germany making sea units purchases for the first few turns. Reason being, Germany has enough troops for the first few turns at least. Thought?
I would like to see a game where Germany try sealion. It really depends ion the rolls at jutland. I have a plan in mind but it probably won’t work an experienced player. I was thinking turn one, buy 5 tt on kiel. If Jutland goes well, next turn put 1 tt on Scott land, one on yorkshire and if GB doesn’t buy ships and France doesn’t put ships there, three tt on whales. If that happens, it’s game over. But again ypthat relies on a lot of elements going well and pure stupidity on GB part. Anybody thought of like a two or three star plan for great Britain?
Hey so I was just curious. What are some good first round purchases for each nation? I have a good idea but I want to hear what others think.
1. No. Norway did not begin the game controlled by US. Germany can build a major factory there but I once us takes over, it will become a minor one.
2. Yes but not a major one.
Whether the cps are going for Russia or France, they should take out the British navy. I would say for at least the first turn, you just build ships as germany gets alot of troops. I have never tried the Schliefen plan. I have always gone full Russia. I guess this is the ww1 version of sealion. I would think the Austrians have to focus on northern Italy and try to get to France as soon as possible. The German Navy must take out the British navy and keep building to distract GB, but also lots of men as well. But I don’t know. I am interested to see what people are going to say.
Maybe it’s just me but I find the game to be well balanced. It might be the players I play with, but I find most of my games 50 50
This is the most axis and alies game to date. I find even with capable players a 50 50 chance of victory if we play with tr.
Central powers stat.
Take out the royal navel first. Use subs in Atlantic to take out canadian fleet Germany should build 3bb 1st turn. Cp go straight for Russia. Put enough troops in border territories between enemy powers to bog down allies. After Russia falls, head straight for France. By that time even with America, Germany will be too powerful.
Allies
Take out the Ottos. France and britian go as offensive as possible if you see germ going for Russia. Help out Italy as much as you can. If it’s all out France, go defensive obviously in territories with germ. But with the rest, go offensive. Never go defensive too long. Make germ go defensive as soon as possible.
That’s my two cents.
What’s wrong with the PTR rules? Their great. In fact I don’t play with the OOB rules. The game gets too long.
Guys the biggest problem with the map isn’t Europe but the US. Compare the us in Europe to the us in the pacific. The pacific is too high!!!
Our group is trying to come up with rules similar to yours with the spy thing. However we are thinking about having actual units on the board. Also i was thinking of a new phase called the ‘‘political phase’’. Basically it will allow players to disrupt capitals, cause revolutions in enemy-controlled territories, and even cause some neutral powers to join your side. That’s my two cents anyway.
