They already have something like that. Its called larry harris 1914 tournament rules. They have that and some collapse rules. I never play without them.

AAA gubs should not be in the game period. Artillery should have the option of either shooting air or land. So you would have some shoot about 90% shoot ground while the rest shoot air. As for tanks, i always buy aton of tanks and mechs. infantry and fighters are the best defense whiles mechs tanks and planes if available are the best offense.

There is a strong case for buliding a majir on romania rather then a minor.
1. More units in russia turn two and three, ( 5 mechs +5 tanks romania turn 2 ukraine if you do an r1?)
2. Second wave. Taking ukraine and stalingrad help, but leave you production divide and thus can be isolated. A major in romania is too far from the russians to do anything about. If you bulid fast movers, then they should reach moscow in only two turns, and with a concentrated force.
3. Far away from london. Persia maybe but ypu would make the allies have to spread out their bombers to cripple you effectively. If they bomb out berlin or western the wg, it wouldn’t damage the eastern front. If they bombout romania, focus your bulids on berlin or east Germany.
4. Protects afainst any incursion into greece. Fast movers can hit that in one turn. Also if your doing a neutral crush, then a major would also help germany set up for turkey in one turn

Going full Russia in my experience is a standard play by the Cp. All of them are bordering Russia, and it becomes a meatgrinder in our games in which Russia has two or three battles (one for each power), or one or two battles with a combination of Austria and Germany. Ive even had battles with all 3 cps in there. Its not too difficult to defeat Russia especially with the tourney rules i always play with. France is fun for me cause you gotta think outside the box.

A good standard Germany strategy for an aggressive Germany at least from what ive read on the forums and will probably gain you those axis victories, is turn one, take out the British navy, France, and east Poland. If you wait on Russia for just one turn, thats almost 40 extra ipc you have to deal with. Build a major on turn one and place it in Romania. You will also do the standard Yugoslavia strafe. Move your forces from Berlin to Poland. you can put in like seven guys and up to six tanks in east Poland. Then make the decision to either go north or south. You can do a mix which is the move your initial forces from Berlin, Poland and Czechoslovakia to Leningrad. Then usr your romanian factory to pump out tanks and mechs + your southern German forces you strafed from Romania into Ukraine. After that, Moscow looks like a piece of cake IF you play correctly and bring your Luftwaffe in and dont waste em.

I don’t think that many young ppl who have never played a grand strategy game will spend alot of time playing a very dumbed down version of a&a, then all the sudden be playing 1940. Especially for zombies. Its a sad excuse and a waste of time to be making a A&A zombie game. Chainsaw tanks? Maybe. Again so many things could have been done. But its all wasted by developer, who are good at fantasy games, be making war games. Create your own brand, don’t befoul a classic one.

Yeah i want in on that “Allies win all the time” thing. We are trying to win with ygh rules and even that is difficult with a very aggressive axis player. g1 British fleet destroyed combined with a j1 but the allies far behind, especially if Germany takes that cruiser out in sz91 and prevents a complete Italy meltdown.

Tanks and mech are a powerful tool on the axises belt in gerenal. If italy gets smashed turn one AND has no chance of recovery, then tanks, mechs, and the occasional plane. Just dont let italy take ukraine. Germany needs those for a few extra tanks and some slow movers

I dont believe in bids. I play with ygh rules and that works just fine. My only problem is with the USA. i cant seem to find a strategy that is effective on both sides. Other than that, no problems.

Like cow said, always go for the weaker one. Generally, cairo is weaker (cause no major), but if cairos beefed up, then later sealion should be an option. You certainly have the funds for it if you get moscow + those sweet oilfields.and vcs. If you dont, get them. You shouldnt wven think about sealions or cairo intil you get those things. Then decide.

Never thought of that. But the uk should at least be weary of sending those fighters as that is an almost guarantee death for those guys. Maybe send one or two, but nothing more then that.

Yeah ive always found the paratroopers one worthless. I say everybody should have it at the start. It would certainly add more flavor to the game at the very least.

If the british player scrambles in 110, then do sealion. If uk scrambles, he losses 30 ipcs worth od his most important defensive unit in the game. Ppl say a good defense is infantry, which is true, but many ppl are missing a crucial aspect and that is fighters. A combanation of infantry +fighters are the best defense. So when he is scrambling those fighters, he has given up any chance of defending london.

Another advantage to doing afrika korps is that if your playing with ygh rules thats a vp right there.
Also i think japan should do a calcutta crush along with afrika korps. That way, uk cant send fighters from india into egypt, otherwise lose infia and/or the possibility of taking india back
