It has come to my attention that Germany might get away with a 1 DD and 3 AP build and bring everything to SZ 112. Then on G1 ( regardless of what UK does) it can swing FROM THE OTHER SIDE and invade UK from her west coast ( SZ 109) using her port movement bonus. Germany needs to do two things to make this possible:
Bring 4 tanks and 4 infantry from east front to west Germany, also UK needs to lose in a battle of 1 BB, 1 CA, 1 DD against 3 fighters. This is quite even. If it wins the German player loses her planes, but if they fail, UK will fall no matter what as Germany has now 4 tanks and 4 infantry landing ( before it was 6 units). Note that UK will lose planes in this fight too.
IN a battle of 1 BB CA DD ( 4/3/2 vs. 3/3/3) Germany should have the edge if the BB is undamaged.
The UK cant prevent sealion with a naval block at all in SZ 110.
They must instead abandon the attack against Italy and Bring the third plane ( tactical bomber) to UK giving them just 3 more.

Im thinking of a new plan now. With 30 IPC Germany might go with 3 transport build and a DD, forcing UK to attack 1 BB, 1 CA, and 1 DD with 3 fighters.
4/3/2 vs. 3/3/3 and the BB gets two hits…
But if the UK fails Germany now has 1 more tank and 1 infantry as soakers and UK lost a fighter or two.

But think about it. It Gets worse!!!even if the German fleet is sunk, the transports can still land unopposed, because UK didn’t block! Of course they lost the BB and CA SB, but gained another 3 and 1 for soakers every round.
The new line up is: 1 bomber, 4 fighters, 3 tactical, 4 tanks, 4 infantry= 16 units, vs. 12 UK infantry and perhaps 1 fighter for 13 units.
Germany will take UK this way even better. Calvin good job.

How do you hit the RN? I assume you kill everything around England. In these attacks you are likely to loose two planes. That means that you dont have 8 planes for the invation, 6 is more likely. Do you also kill the fleet outside Canada? This is reay streaching the Luftwaffe and Krigsmarine but if you dont you will have a extra tank and inf in england by G2. Then the lineup is 12 inf, 3 fig, 1 tank and 1 aa against 4 inf, 4 tanks, 3 figs and 3 bmbs. Even with shorebombard this is not a good fight.
Unless you are lucky with your dice this move does not force the UK to skip the raid on the Italian fleet.

We have played a few games of Europe and Global now and i do not have any reason to thing Europe is broken. The Tarantoraid does not Break the game, its just one of options the UK has in its first turn. The UK might also want to destroy the German fleet or build up a fleet somewhere where its safe (as the Carrier will most likely die in either I1 or G2 depending on where you moved it after the Taranto raid).
In Global there is a problem with i wrote about somewhere quite some time ago and that is the missmatch in scales of the two games. Most significante is that 3-4 UK planes can fly from India Africa/the Med in UK1 giving them a massive advantage over the Italians (mainly making it impossible for them to invade Egypt in I1 without loosing the rest of their fleet on UK2). I think the steps of scaling down the number of planes Larry is talking about will help this. Removing 1 fig from India will help this. There is still 3 planes that can reach tho, i would consider moving one fig from India to Malay in the setup. This would mean only 2 planes can go to Africa in UK1.

I do think that destroying the RN in G1 and then hitting Russia in G2 will become somewhat of a standard even tho there are other options. Destoying the fleet will deffo be a standard G1 move as you can kill so much with so little losses.

I have posted a new R1. Lets play the game!
All that is needed to destroy the RN is the Luftwaffe for one turn when they do not have that much else to do. The Germans losses are limited to a few subs and a plane or two. It is a bit extreme but i understand why it might be needed for balance.

I think the J1 attack will be dominant even in global. Sure US gets the 30 extra and can start using a few units against the Germans and Italians sooner but as Japan your income will rise 8, you will deny the UK 11 (and UK income is better then US income) and US 2 aswell as you get to kill alot of units that can get into better positions if you do not attack J1.

Amur only has 1 IPC, it needs 2 to build a Minor IC i think. You can attack Korea or Manchuria and build one there tho.

If I am playing Russia i should be able to play from now as i have a few quiet turns. I think we should not bother with tech in this game. Also when OOL is obvious let the attacker roll, if not ask for it it.

And how is this going to work? We post moves, roll on the forum (how does that work) and then posts lists of our tropps in the end of each turn? Also the order in witch to take casulties are not as clear now as be4, whenever there are mecs and art involved there might be a problem.
