I still stop by. Don’t play as much A&A as I used to, but I do check in to see what happening in the community.

Here is a link to BGG where I posted a manifest for Pacific '40 (1st Ed). Hope it helps!

    • RE: G40 Carrier Based Fighter Units

Interesting concepts, but I feel your use of carrier-borne aircraft is too limited as written. Naval aircraft are just as effective on land as they are at sea. The Marines used all the same aircraft types as the US Navy during WWII. In fact, they adopted the Corsair for service before the Navy. You may also want to look into the contributions of the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy as well as the use of naval aircraft in the Battle of the Atlantic.

They are from the 2003 Milton Bradley game Mission Command Land.

On another, somewhat related topic, does the author of this poll realize that Operation Enduring Freedom is the invasion of Afghanistan? The Iraq conflict was codenamed Operation Iraqi Freedom.

    • RE: A List of "Games" that are Axis & Allies Expansions in Disguise

You may also include Warlords of Europe by Conquest Gaming and War and Peace by Worthington Games. Great list by the way!

    • RE: Risk - The Walking Dead: scale of units same as Axis and Allies?

Again, the Infantry unit is slightly smaller, but the truck is the perfect size for A&A.

The Risk zombies are slightly smaller, but still serviceable for A&A. I am of the opinion that the Risk - Walking Dead rules are much better than A&A:Z…

FYI: Eagle Games has the runner of industry & infrastructure buildings back in stock. I just took delivery of 5 myself!

I would say a decent set of poker chips to replace the paper money or paper bookkeeping.

    • RE: US Marines & British Commandos

Interesting concepts floated here! I always appreciate the effort to create and publish various house rules on the forums. I do have a question; can the British Commandos take/hold territory? Or are they more of a shock force that is replaced by a regular Infantry unit after combat?

    • RE: Broadsides and Boarding Parties

I think it is an interesting idea. Broadsides & Boarding Parties is the only game in the old GameMaster series that has not been reprinted up to this point. I may be mistaken, but I believe Restoration Games had shown some interest in re-printing this game, but am not sure if that is still the case.
