Is there any OOB for France in 1940?
Any rules for a 1940 scenario in 1940 or even 1939?

What are the “classic” opening moves agst China by Japan?
How fast can China be disposed of realistically in AA50?
It just seems to me China hangs around too long and drains Japan of IPC’s which could be better used elsewhere.
It seems to be a real challenge for Japan to control China or is it just me?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Italy in AAE!!!

It is not a boxed game as it seems to be; just a rules set.
Thanks for your insight, TimeRover.
Do the blockhouses, which presumably face towards the sea, fire upon troops/tanks which enter that space not from the sea or beach?
OK, so there are only 6 kamikaze attacks total, Japan could conduct all 6 attacks agst one US/UK fleet as it entered one of those specially marked kamikaze zones, correct?
If it did that there will be no more kamikaze attacks at all on the board again, becz they are now all used up. It is not 6 attacks per zone, right?
OK, Japan can use the kamikaze attacks not only when the Allies move on the Allies combat, non-combat?? turn, but also as it combat moves on it’s own turn, correct?
And what is different too, is that Japan picks the casualties for each kamikaze hit, correct?
The casualties do not fire back if thay had just entered an empty seazone, correct? They only fire back if there are Japanese naval units present, correct?
It seems particularly useful and devious , to use it to prevent shore bombardment, in an empty sea zone, ie no Japanese naval units present!!!
Thanks!
Is it true that the Japanese Kamikazee response occurs during the Allies turn?
Exactly how does it work?
What is the sequence?
Is it an unlimited reponse or only 6 different times?
Ok, Ok, I am asking if this works or not:
Germany sees UK and US teaming up to invade France.
It already has an IC in France.
Germany builds a destroyer on it’s turn in France and places it in the appropriate seazone, 7, to prevent the shore bombardment.
Does that not prevent the bombardment in the next UK turn, unless the invasion is delayed to the US’s turn after the UK sinks the destroyer? Is that right?
It could seriously throw a monkey wrench in the invasion plans, at least anyways delay it by a turn or two?
from the UK’s perspective:
may the UK attack the destroyer only from the air and thus save the naval units from attacking the destroyer themselves and thus be able to shore bombard in that same turn???
I am curious how Italians view the addition of Italy to AA50…
Do you prefer to play Italy now? Alone or in combination with Germany?
Or do you just like to play some other country?
Had you previously played any other Axis & Allies game and lamented that Italy was not
represented?
As an Italian, how well do you feel that it is represented in the Game?
Any other comments reflecting on Italy in AA50?
I am just curious, how much time we have all spent here:
What is your cumulative total amount of time you have been logged
onto AxisandAllies.org??
Hey IL, this is great stuff for all of us out here who want to print up those large maps.
I appreciate all the tips and your efforts to help all of us enjoy Axis & Allies even more than we already do!
Thanks!
OK hope this poll works OK…
Do not place votes on the 1941 or 1942 scenario set up question line, just vote for either the Axis as the winner of your game or the Allies as the winner of your game playing that particular scenario.
If you want to explain the options you used playing that scenario, please go right ahead and enlighten us about your experience.
Thanks.
Has anyone tried a TF of only subs, say 6 of 'em?
What were the results?
Is taking the Phillipines a MUST on the 1st turn?
Is it possible to take all of Borneo, Java, Sumatra & Malaya all on Turn 1?
Is it better to try to take all of these and the Phillipines on GT 1 rather than striking at the USA?
Sorry about asking all these Q’s, but I have played Japan only once and only had 29 at the end of GT 1 and later lost the game after a decisive naval battle off French Indo China with the UK.
I must say that in that game the Allies must have had 4 hits, ones, with their sinking transports! :x
:-D Appreciate your help
I’ve heard that there is a problem with either the color or number of cruisers?
Is that still a problem with the newer editions of Guadalcanal or has it been corrected?
What exactly is the problem?
40 IPC’s after Turn1 ! :|
How does J accomplish that?? :?
I was J the other day and got 29. I had thought until now I was doing pretty well :-(
In the last game we played, Germany took Brazil; however, it was not a deal breaker. The Allies ignored it. Should have put an IC there!!
Perhaps becz the US torpedos were so poorly designed and the failure rate was so high?? :?
What are the most IPC’s you’ve seen Japan hold after turn1?
