    • 4' x 8' Axis and Allies Global 40 and BBR maps for Sale

I am selling 2 axis and allies maps. The maps can be used to play Global and the BBR variant of Axis and Allies Global. Actual size is 47.5" x 95" (120.65 cm x 241.3 cm for my metric system players). It is a special map designed by SiredBlood and Lt. Dan version 3.1.04. it has listed on the map locations of WWII ship sinkings, ship movements and other battles/WWII stats. It is printed on upgraded vinyl. Each map cost me $125 but I’m selling each one for $100.00. I am located in SLC, UT, USA and will split the shipping costs to where ever you live.

Big map differences are one is played with BBR rule set and one is with G40 rule set.
Look at Western China for one difference, other are IPC value of territories which may be hard to see on these pics.

If interested text me and I will send more pictures.

Long story, but I’m building a game table and was originally going to make it big enough to accommodate the maps but then when I actually got down to the extra costs for making a larger table in wood and time and then the size the table would take up in my basement I made the difficult decision to build a smaller table so these maps won’t fit. I want to sell them so I can get smaller maps that will fit the table.

BBR is a variant of axis and allies global developed by a guy that goes by SiredBlood. It stands for blood bath rules. There are several links on this site that talk about it you can also find several on links via a google search. I like this link here:
      https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/31620/sired-s-bloodbath-sept-22-24-2018-orange-county-ca

There are several things that I like about BBR axis and a few I don’t. An example of rule change, bombers only get to roll in the first round of combat or you can use them to transport troops. Also there is a rail system in the game to get troops to the front lines faster. Canada is it’s own playable nation (I feel that really hurts Britain, a thing I don’t love about it) and they have a unique tech track with different techs. That are lots of differences which are nice to try after playing G40 for years. As for map differences, the biggest one you will notice is Western China, there is basically a large barrier that prevents troop movement into the caucus region. Other changes are IPC territory values, like Malta is 1 ipc and Bessarabia is also 1 ipc value. You can also get to central Africa through Morocco. Hope that answers your questions.

    • RE: Global 2nd edition Q+A ( AAG40.2)

Need some clarification on Strategic bombing and scrambling. Here is the scenario UK wants to attack German navy in SZ 112 off W Germ and they want to prevent the Germ air (3 FTRs) from scrambling, if the UK sends a strat bomber to bomb the airbase and the rest of the UK airforce and navy attack 112 what is the timing of things?

      a. Germany can choose to scramble available air into either the sea zone OR to defend airbase OR split them (2 to defend AB, 1 to SZ)
      b. Germany has to wait to see if the bombing raid is successful and if it is, can’t scramble any air to defend the SZ

      Thanks

If the US is at war can the US move troops into and control Dutch Suriname?
