RE: Global 2nd edition Q+A ( AAG40.2)
i remember when I first read the rules I thought it meant any territory with an operable air base or an island. Imagine my surprise in my first online game when I stacked SZ96 UK1, thinking I could scramble from Malta. Oysteilo crunched me!
Must always have an operable air base to scramble

RE: Global 40 BM: 2 Americans (Axis) vs 2 Europeans (Allies)
@Wittmann we just had our first snow of the year. Maybe the cold clouded my judgment!

RE: TT Oberkommando BrAeV (X) vs ColtWitt (L+18)
@brxxx It was. Very cold so there was no lines for the lifts!

RE: Global 2nd edition Q+A ( AAG40.2)
@simon33 I’ve never played or seen first edition. G402E was first A&A I ever played, then bought. Couldn’t play it much tho because friends’ moderate interest in it faded. So I wasn’t mixing up versions’ rules but I was playing the game incorrectly till I got here. These forums helped clear all that up!

RE: League General Discussion Thread
Could someone tell me when the new season starts? Is it just calendar year January 1st? Would like to try League then.
Are the “moderators” for the site also the League moderators? Or is there specific/main League mods?
As for Gamerman’s question, credit again goes to Witt for suggesting League to me long ago.

RE: Urgent and quick question about bids for a new player
The answer depends on how good you feel you are. Some players on here would give a new guy Allies+80.
IMO, Axis is easier to play than Allies, even for newer players -
RE: Napoleon 8-players Game #14
@Private-Panic no I want a full refund on that lost TUV in the Black Sea with Swedish dead as the payment!

RE: League General Discussion Thread
@farmboy Thanks. Personally, I prefer OOB but I don’t imagine I’ll be in playoffs 2021 League but it will be fun to spectate! I dont think the mega bids are a bad thing. Opens up a lot of creative options.

RE: Urgent and quick question about bids for a new player
@tin-can-of-the-sea i think Sticky’s suggestion is good, too. You don’t have to take it easy on the guy, but don’t play optimally(if you’re aware how to). The optimization of Axis is how the bids have gotten so high
