RE: What the deuce will AntiAircraft Artillery be?
From Eastern US, you cannot get a fighter to UK, nor can you even get a transport there as well.
That would be a significant change from the first edition of A&A 1942. Can an American transport move from the U.S. East Coast to North Africa in one turn?

RE: What the deuce will AntiAircraft Artillery be?
Thanks for sharing your play experience and observations. I can’t wait to see some pictures of the new game board and setup.
Were there any noteworthy rule changes? Does weapons development or national advantages make a return (ex. A&A Revised) or are they still out (ex. A&A 1942 First Edition)?

RE: Preview copy of 1942 2nd Edition might be arriving soon
When should we expect to see the first review of Axis & Allies 1942 Second Edition?

RE: Release Date?

RE: Speculating the differences between 1st and 2nd Edition
On thing is for sure, the map is indeed larger. That’s about all I know right now.
Is your statement based on information from the sales flyer or have you received the review copy of A&A 1942 2nd Edition?

RE: Preview copy of 1942 2nd Edition might be arriving soon
I am curious to see if there are more territories / sea zones on this expanded map, or is it merely a larger first edition map, and what, if any, changes there are to the setup besides the addition of anti-aircraft artillery.

RE: Speculating the differences between 1st and 2nd Edition
I hope the expanded map for the second edition of A&A 1942 will include more territories, especially in Europe and China. I think a new 1942 map that more closely resembles the map of A&A50 would be a big improvement.

RE: Preview: Game Setup
When is the approximate start date for A&A 1941? It looks like the late fall of 1941 just before the attack on Pearl Harbor. Is the play order the same as in A&A 1942? If so, are there any restrictions on the UK attacking the Japanese on turn 1 since they are not at war yet?

RE: Preview: Game Setup
Why is unoccupied China divided north / south in A&A 1941 instead of east / west as in A&A 1942 (and Revised, MB, and Nova versions)? And then two infantry in one territory and none in the other? This setup makes China too easy to conqueror and provides the Japanese an easy backdoor to central Russia.
A&A 1941 is marketed as a simpler, shorter playing game, but the China map and setup are just too ahistorical. I know, an A&A map and setup ahistorical, stop the presses.
Just my humble opinion.

RE: Setup!
According to the setup charts, there should be 1 German tank in North Africa that is missing from the setup pictures.

RE: WOTC Reposts the Sales Flier for Axis & Allies 1941
I am curious about the map (size, number of spaces, etc.) and the mix units for each power, especially given there will be only 160 plastic pieces. I agree with the previous post wondering about only four dice.

Thanks for posting the link P@nther. I tried to include the link in my original post, but I could not post the message with it. I received an automated statement saying, ‘Sorry, you are not allowed to post links.’ I assume I received this message because I am a new comer to the board and it’s part of the board’s anti-spam measures.
