Also, I wonder if having an 8 VC count makes the Axis advantage overbearing? May have to play with a bid for something like this

RE: Anyone ever try 8 Victory City win for AA42.2?
Yeah but, isn’t it more fun to actually be able to complete objectives, regardless of minor/major distinction?
I feel like repeatedly calling it quits during midgame doesn’t seem to give that same feel of accomplishment?

Anyone ever try 8 Victory City win for AA42.2?
I was looking at the rules for revised and saw there were multiple win conditions back then:
8 VCs - Minor Victory
10 VCs - Major
12 VCs - TotalI’ve read that '42 is pretty much the next successor to the original after Revised, is it feasible to to run with these victory conditions or are the new rules/setup too different to make this feasible? (they seem quite similar at a glance)

Hi guys, first time playing- couple of questions
1) Game came with 12 industrial complexes, setup using 10 of them. Does this mean only 2 can be purchased during the game?
2) Is it really worth it to buy AAA? Tanks seem far more versatile for +1 IPC in cost, as AAA can only move one space at a time, can’t attack, and die if they encounter combat units without support. The only pros I see for AAA is:
**-**They may hit more than one unit. However, this assumes the territory is being attacked by 2+ air units, and even at 3+ the probability of hitting at least one is only about 42% when a tank’s chance to hit is 50%.
**-**They have preemptive strike.
Is it really worth?3) Do you guys use any house rules to speed up the game? Does anyone use the 1941 objective “capture London/DC/Tokyo/Berlin = victory”, or a +2 VC control (as opposed to +3)= win? I personally don’t mind but my friends tend to prefer faster games. I would’ve purchased 1941 but this seemed more feature-rich and you get to play with more units.
