Thanks SS. They need a clear link to that section. I can’t find one for the life of me. The Facebook, yes, but not a forum area for questions and comments.

Did Germany take out france before Barbarossa?
Thanks
The facebook page doesnt really have a dialogue area and neither does the website save an older newsletter.
Thanks
Would refusing the dragon work from the 39 start perspective? I’m intregued with supporting the Germans on a blitz into Russia. Taking the bear out woud alieviate a lot of stress. Once done, I’d imagine the Japanese could concentrate on India and Australia with a lot of funds coming in from the Russian land grab.
Also, wondering about how you can keep USA from an early entrance if France or Britain are attacked? That 512D roll brought the USA into the war on turn move for us last game and, in the end, that was it. USA really put a hurt on the Japanese and also shuffled a ton of units into North Africa way ahead of the historic precidence.
All ears as I default to the experts. …This game is a ball.

Jinx,
The Soviets won pretty easily. By the way, is it wrong for me to post on this topic here? I hope I’m not making a mistake here?
Anyway, after our first game, there are so many facets of the game that we learned about while going through it that I think there will be a lot of variability for a while to come. I just ordered a bunch of experimental and concept units to mix it up along with a few expansions that are “out-there” to say the least - can’t wait, lol.
Great expansion to the global concept.
If there is a better area to post on this, please direct me so I can be compliant. I want to ask advice on strategy, etc from some of the peeps that have played several games. I’m going to take a stab at either Japan or Germany and am interested in “best practices.”
Thanks
Bill
Hello Gents,
Wondering how this varient is going in your world?
From my perspective, three of my sons and three of their friends took a stab at this last night. Interestingly enough, the Japanese player attacked the French and English sub just south of India and the US had a 5d12 roll that tripped them into a war economy. They declared war on Japan immediately and began the earliest production I’ve ever seen.
Russia, after cutting a deal with Germany, has been sitting tight while Germany scrabbles to deal with England.
We’re picking up where we left off last night, but, as I see it, Russia is in the best case to win this particular game - at least today.
So far, I love the variability and it looks like there can be many ways this can ultimately go.
Not sure if the tech will be effective yet - we’ll see, but, in all, great variant.
Any thoughts from the field?
Merry Christmas
Bill
Of course you’re right on that. I know others have asked but do you have a website where it can be preordered, etc yet?
Please keep us posted. Christmas would have been a great time to pick this up! Amazing work!
Wondering if anyone has had success with using house rules for the russian Revolution?
This is a good topic. I’m contemplating the creation of a rail marker that could cost a few IPC’s and placed on a land mass can then connect the adjacent landmasses. What I initially like about a physical marker is that it also gives aircraft a strategic target to knock out as well. As I am thinking this through, the rail marker virtually eliminates the region that it’s in and units can simply jump past it. Theoretically, you could put another rail marker in another adjacent region and jump two regions.
Anyway, just thinking this through in light of this thread. Please give me your thoughts.

Thanks all. this is what I thought and how I played but when I visited Larry’s site the word “any” threw me for a loop.
Thanks!
As it reads from Larry’s site:
In essence: axis win by controlling any 8 of the european theater cities or any of hte 6 pacicfic…
Does this mean that all you have to do is control one of these cities for a complete turn or all?
thanks
Bill
thanks for the feedback. I really think if played right could really put a scare on japan and keep their eyes diverted.
I know alaska but at the tip of the Aleutians could be a game changer so I want ot make sure its ok. Think of how this could freeze the japanese navy. Slap an airbase as well with fighers to scramble. New Zealand could have its way in hte south. seems to good to be true
Is this doable by the rules? if so you could hit the chinese mainland or japan in one pop.
thanks for clarification
Bill
Sorry not on the lingo but what are these purchases?1 CV, 1 SS, 1 AP
Thanks
Thanks Tex. Sorry William S, didn’t know 4 was coming out. I don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to reading the posts with all the travel I have to do with work.

Any of you really creative people looking to work on these?
Thanks
Bill
Wow, you guys are pretty down. All valid points though… Play testing will make the final case I suppose.
That said, how would you make Alpha 3? What key changes would you make (specifically) if you were larry? Maybe this forum can come up with a Beta1 (if enough agree) and play test it?
Just a thought…
With regards to SBR’s, I too never do them. Perhaps a creative solution is necessary to make raids on Factories and bases more the norm. What if, one Bomber (at half the cost) can only do SBR’s? Maybe each nation can start with one? Just thinking out load but it would make for a nice change if each player thought more about utilizing raids. It could add to the strategic flow of the game.
Any thoughts on this or other ideas?
