I’m a college kid in Worcester. Hard to find people to play, but I’m always up for a game haha.

Ready the description, its supposedly the first of many in the Napoleon series.

RE: Kamikazes in China's turn
I’m pretty sure you’d make the attack on America’s turn. China has no naval units, so can’t trigger ability.

RE: Field Command: Singapore 1942
Going to bed soon, but quality of game is absolutely fantastic. Pieces are highly detailed (better quality than A&A I’d say) and map and components are very durable. Only huge problem (and it was pretty big) was the rules are laid out horribly. There’s no index, and whenever I had to go back to the rule book to look up a rule it took way too long to find it. Many times I simply couldn’t find an answer to a question, so my opponent and I just had to work around it. I really love this game but feel I can’t fully enjoy it too the potential it has, simply because of the awful rulebook. I’d like it if they reprinted one that is laid out better.
(Also, British and Australian generals look strangely Asian… :-o)

RE: Bad news
@Brain:
Or how about the F-82 twin mustang for the US?
That shouldn’t exist….

RE: Field Marshal Games : COMBAT TURRET

RE: Field Command: Singapore 1942
I ordered a copy as well. Have you gotten them in stock yet?

RE: 4 players?
I’ve played with four players (ANZAC & China combined) and also five players once. I cant complain about game play. Its still fun, but more lag time. I think three players plays the best.
Really? I could never imagine that being enjoyable for the China player. I’m skeptical that it would even be very fun playing as just ANZAC. Everyone of my games has only been either 2 or 3 players.

RE: FRANCE and ANZAC COMBAT DICE - HELP us design them!
No problem. When you do get a physical sample though, this would be a good pic to see.
Will there be any price difference (including shipping) between getting the 8 country set vs. the 6 country set + upgrade? I’m looking to support your efforts with a purchase but would like the full 8 country set when it’s available.
If you already own the COMBAT DICE DELUXE, you will get an e-mail with a special offer… for the upgrade dice and bag. This offer will not be found on our site and will be for existing customers only.
The FULL set (whatever it will be called) will be more expensive than the Deluxe set. We will discontinue the DELUXE set and carry only the following:
COMBAT DICE Base set (the 5 nations in AA42) $24.99
USA - USSR - GERMANY - JAPAN - UK
COMBAT DICE ??? set (All NINE nations in a larger more deluxe bag) $34.99
USA - CHINA - UK - ANZAC - USSR - GERMANY - ITALY - FRANCE - JAPANNo problem. When you do get a physical sample though, this would be a good pic to see.

RE: Control Marker Styles
Yes but see Iron Crosses make sense within the context of the game, which uses roundels. Also there is really no way the swastika’s going to happen.
-
RE: Control Marker Styles
Besides, the emblem of the Wehrmacht was the Iron Cross, not the swastika. For all you guys gripe about historical accuracy, the swastika actually isn’t.@purplebaron:
For those of you who want a swastika for the Germans, it will NEVER happen.
Two reasons:
-
In Germany, it is illegal for any company to print a swastika on any product or advertisement. They’re very serious about suppressessing anything related to the Nazi party to keep history from repeating itself. Therefore, WotC would have to publish two versions of the game in order to sell anything in Germany (possibly all of Europe with the EU adopting the laws of its member nations) which would not be economically viable.
-
It would be a PR disaster. Some groups would protest and boycott the game, many more people would just be offended and not buy it. Being a World War II game, the publisher is already skirting the line between historical accuracy and glorification of a war, a country, and its practices. There is little value gained and much lost by blurring that line more than necessary.
Edit: Completed truncation in item #1

RE: Opinion poll: What round should Japan attack on? (Day36 to 43 from release date)
On J1 I moved half my fleet and airforce to Hainan and half to the Carolines. Basing your fleet at Carolines gives you near limitless opportunities of attack, which in my case allowed me to take and hold New South Wales on the second turn. Granted, my Australian fleet was soon destroyed by the US, but he took heavy losses as well. My Hainan fleet wiped out the Brits, so I was able to easily take China and India with the rest of my troops and my minor IC in FIC before the US could finally get within striking distance. I wouldn’t consider attacking on round 1, but attacking turn 2 gives you a lot of advantages lost by turn 3.
