If we use badges to represent our interest, then we need to have badge for each possible combination. For example, some players (including myself) might be interested in BM and PoV but not OoB. My recommendation would be:
Infantry = OoB
Arty = BM
Tank = PtV
Sub = OoB + BM
DD = OoB + PtV
CA = BM + PtV
BB = OoB + BM + PtV -

My sense is that PTV is most balanced game because it takes only a small bid to make the game even or fair for both sides. The ideally balanced game would not require bidding at all, and PTV seems to have a chance of achieving this.

Thanks for a most interesting game. The constant threat of Allied Atlantic amphibious assaults, the stalemate on the Russian front, the Allied all out attack on Japan, and all those bombers had me really worried for the longest time.

I have read through the section on Phase 4 (NCM) of the rule book several time now. My understanding is that the US TT, which was not involved in combat, cannot move into a hostile SZ but can land troops from a friendly SZ.
In the unlikely case you find that this US NCM is illegal, I will move the US land units to Algeria. Even without them, Egypt is defensible for another round.

Based on what I see, the US troops could not have loaded on the US TT DURING the Combat Movement Phase (not AFTER as you indicated), because the CV has no attack strength and cannot serve as an escort. I do not see any restriction to loading a TT in a SZ occupied by an enemy sub in Phase 4 (NCM) section.

The Special Movement section you cite is under the Phase 2: Combat Moves and applies only to CMs.
During the CM, the UK TT and CV can ignore the IT sub. Then during the NCM, they may continue to ignore the sub, load troops, and–as they did not engage in combat–move to any friendly SZ, where the TT can offload.
