Yeah this looks good. Hard to give much input until I actually started playing with but you are on the right path!

RE: Fourth Time Playing After Action Report
So do you think the CP shouldn’t have any bid? I myself have to play this verision more to get an opinion but from the reports I read it seems that the CP’s are a little under powered. But agree if you are much more aggressize things could turn out well. On the other hand if they don’t it could be a fast game.

RE: Battle Board for Axis & Allies 1914, Combat rounds,IPC chart, Task Force Cards
That is pretty cool. I like the photos.

RE: Current bid rules? Placement of bid units?
Like Hobbes said the games I’ve been in have slight mods but we talk about them first before any bidding starts.
We do bid up for Axis. So the number that is settled on and wins that is the amount the allies get. -
RE: A&A WWI 1914 Abattlemap Module has begun!
OHHHH……didn’t know…noob moment!

RE: A&A WWI 1914 Abattlemap Module has begun!
When I click the link to save it saves it. The file properties are that size. Maybe someone linked the wrong file.
So no not a joke. Can anyone repaste the link or put the files here or someplace else? -
RE: A&A WWI 1914 Abattlemap Module has begun!
Hmm I have the file in the map section but triple A not showing the game. The file is only 277 kb.

RE: Spring 42 vs 42 second edition
Ok thanks. I can’t seem to find it. They have v3 and it’s not it. I’ll keep looking.

RE: Spring 42 vs 42 second edition
So under the Triple A which games is the 1942 2nd edition?

RE: The balance of sportsmanship & competition among A&A players
Great article and yeah sounds like your past games were about the same as mine. ONly a few good old friends we olny the occasional “beep” while throw a dice in disguse. As long as it’s just that….quick. Sometimes you just have to blow off a little steam and then realize “It’s just a game”. Plus later it’s great comical material against you. “Hey man don’t blow up if you lose this battle” and so forth. HAHA

RE: For noobs: German Don't List
Good list. Noticed these in our games.
The not take both subs from Baltic if you give the DD in Canada the pass makes sense….why didn’t I think of that! Thanks for passing on! -
RE: Can Soviets survive without Brit fighters?
It can only hold if you are lucky dice. I myself seem to always roll below avgerage. And a friend of mine is always above average. So I tend not to play him head on. and we team up alot in 4 player games.

RE: FAQ Now Available
Wish I had come here sooner to learn that! We noticed that UK had 31 IPC on the map and gave it that since the Allies always needed more help than that anywya.

RE: Finally! Non-Moscow Axis victory! Do the Allies stand a chance?
I’m so glad i can to this forumn and found out the extra Allied VC! Our latest game is going to be played different again! Which is good.

RE: Why is this version cheaper than 1914?
I think that the 1914 is totally new so alot of “Hot of the Press” items in general are always higher. But for the new units, board and such all new and not “copied” from other sets (only thing would be chips and even they are in different color). If you are a old and die hard AA fan like me you get both. But get 1942 2nd first.

RE: Allies are OP
Interesting….I would say the other way around. Giving Allies a bid helps then from not getting rolled in 3 rounds. Seriously if you roll unlucky I’ve seen it look BAD on 2nd turn!

RE: Which version buy; 1942 2nd Edition; the version from 2009 or 2012?
1942 2nd for sure. The 1942 1st had all these transports without any guards and they would be all shot to hell. Japan would lose one for sure before it’s turn. However 1942 2nd edition gave Germany a little too much love. But hey I’m an Axis player. It’s just every now and then I like to play USA.

RE: Spring 1942 old edition
Yeah that was when you could put a IC in your favorite Pafic Island and put in ungodly units in it!
The innocent years….lol -
RE: Poll: Bids for Spring 1942, 2nd Ed.
And we have been experiementing with around 11.
Even for KPF you need good rolling since it’s hard to keep Germany at bay long.
I would still like to get a KGF going but USA takes a while to get the transport convayer going to Europe quick enough. -
RE: Poll: Bids for Spring 1942, 2nd Ed.
Has the bidding changed since I lasted played? At GenCon 2007 the bidding for the “Classic 1942” was you bidded up for Allies and that amount is what you gave the Axis. The link says you bid for Allies and then go down.
