RE: How much have you spent on the miniatures?
please supply some figures… is this a real expensive hobby?
I’ve spent about $1k+ BUT DK (plays online with us) spent $0 ZERO dollars and he plays as much as I do. Just go to Avalon Hill’s web site. Download the rules and stat cards and you’re ready to play with us online. No need to own anything to play online and it’s just as much fun. We’re here to help if you need directions.
Wow, $1000 is lots of money.

RE: MapView 1.3 is now available
@Cmdr:
You didn’t happen to fix it so that 100% of the board is visible all the time did you? Or at least, 80%? I think right now you can only see about 15-25% of the board and it makes it really hard, for me, to put together a strategy forcing me to take Mapview games, convert them to Battlemap, do my turn, then convert it back to Mapview for my opponent.
May I ask what your monitor resolution is set at, as well as the monitor size?
Try pushing your video card resolution to it’s max to see how much of the board you can see at once, maybe that will be acceptable.

RE: Memorial Day
I can not fathom the unspeakable things these bravo souls have witnessed, all for a deep dedication to an ideal and a country.
I think about our soldiers often (past and present and future), lord knows I am too chicken to do said bidding.

RE: Hypothetically
@Cmdr:
Here’s a hypothetical I was asked by a student today. (He was referring to his English paper, I teach Math, he thought I would be safer to approach I guess.)
He asked, and I’m paraphrasing here, if it was okay to purchase a paper from a paper mill (aka a company that writes papers for you and sells them to you) if, and here’s the catch, he only used that paper as a source for his own paper, putting the ideas into his own words.
nice irony.
You paraphrased someone asking you if it was ok to paraphrase

I haven’t been a member for long, but I can see Switch in every forum doing all the work needed to make this a great site.
Take care and enjoy your rest.
