I have won a few of the Real time Strategy games without air power and none without walls.

The AI opposition will target anything you need for victory.  Walls are a cheap protection.  Build enough walls early on to secure production/resources of your military units, and you can go steadily from 10% to 99 % of the map.

If it worked for ancient Rome, Mussilini’s Libya, all of those RTS games, I think it might be a good idea in Afghanistan & Iraq.

I see no problem signing your free will away to some computer who will put you in the perfect job for society, will genetically engineer your children to propegate the species and will determine the most efficient utilization of your resources.

I want to make a short game where germany has all the techs and the allies have to kill them both before time runs out… or the allies lose.

There is now a link in the Tournament Rules thread to a funcitonal link for teh LHTR rules.

Major changes that I note:
Landing FIGs on new AC rules are changed
Errata regarding SBR damage corrected
Heavy Bombers are different (though this is not a factor for our no technology Tournament)
AA fire in NCM rules changed (they don;t fire in NCM)
Numerous clarifications including multinational forces present during attack in a sea zone.

In my two recent games however Russia has kept nothing in the East anyway. I guess you would still have to build more TRN anyway. Maybe the EI IC is a better build later on.

I think the general consensus is you can pretty easilly cripple the Royal Navy (kill the Gibraltar BB and the Egyptian DST), but killing the whole fleet, while POSSIBLE, does not yield positive net results for Germany.  UK can too quickly rebuild (a single AC and they get a defense of 11 with their starting FIGs, and it only costs 16 IPC’s) and the US can too easilly sweep in since the risk from Germany AF is basically nil.
