I think the flaw in Pacific is the race for India, while Europe you have more freedom in achievable goals.

RE: German Naval Threat
I built the same as Ashkayel, and captured London in the second turn…my friends will make sure that it won’'t happen again. :-)

RE: A&a Europe advanced.

RE: Recommended number of planes sent to help Russia
It depends on the outcome of the firswt battle. As a German player, I try to capture Vborg and Leningrad in the first turn to take away lending area for fighters from England. Fighters are better to give to the Russians since they are cheaper, and they help defend agaisnt industrial bombing. If I play as an ally, I send all the initial fighter force to Russia, both British and American. I don’t donate the bombers, as they can help in Operation Torch, and industrial bombing.

RE: favorite country in A&A Europe
The Germans have a great choice for strategy: invasion of Moscow, Sealion…and if you are crazy…invasion of the U.S.

RE: Shore batteries
I think the Shore or Coastal batteries should target all ships involved in the amphibious invasion. Maybe BB can shrug them off.

I like the first one.

RE: MIAMI FLORIDA ….new player looking for other players.
I don’t know if you are still looking for players, but I coordinate a group that plays occasionally at FIU south campus. We play either A&A Europe of Pacific, depending on the amount of players we have that day. If you are interested, I can let you know when we will meet again.

Shore batteries
Any ideas for shore batteries?
Long time ago, a friend of mine suggested shore batteries for our A&AP game, but we never implemented it. My suggestion would be to use AA guns with the same cost and movement. They would act as AA guns and shore batteries. The rules would be as follows: whenever ships move or stop through a sea zone next to an enemy territory containing a shore battery, the shore battery takes a shot at every ship passing by, with a required roll of “1” to be a hit. It would still take two hits to sink a battleship. Let me know if you think the player receiving the shots should assign which ships get hit, or the player shooting the ships should have some say in it.
Let me know what you guys think, and I think this unit could be used to any A&A game. -

5. Â Afrika Korps Â
The Axis forces in Africa relied upon supplies for weapons and most importantly panzers.
Once per game, you may reinforce Libya if you control it. Roll one die each turn during your mobilize new units phase. On a roll of 2 or less, you place two of your tanks and two of your artillery for free in Libya. What does roll one die each turn mean? Doe it mena that I keep rolling til I get the troops?
9. Jagdpanzers
The Germans put their early war experience into the development of tank destroyers. These armor roamed the battlefields to ambush enemy tanks - armed with more powerful guns than similar tanks.
Your tanks have a first-strike ability (defense only) at an defense factor of 2 as long as at least one enemy tank is present in combat. For each scored tank hit, the enemy must pick a tank as a casualty prior to any other unit. Any cassualties destroyed are removed from play, with no chance to attack. This first-strike ability is for the first cycle of combat only.I definitely prefer the Royal Tigers

Please do not eliminate the royal tigers NA. I like that one.

RE: Which naval unit is most effective at maintaining convoys?
The info given about the fleet only apply to AAR, not Europe. Subs are immune to AF without a destroyer present. With the presence of destroyers, subs lose first strike, nothing else.

RE: Sumbersion
Not really. All the units that can attack a sub, they attack as normal. The defending sub can only attack after the first round of attack. If you have any questions on the ruling, you can download the rules from www.avalonhill.com
