I voted once. 1911. That’s it. I still carry one today. I have to agree and disagree with you LT04. The M2 is a superb static or vehicle mounted weapon. I’ve carried and fired the three weapons you mentioned. I would not want to lug a .50 cal around on patrol. In fact I don’t think I want to ever fire that thing from the hip. I would say in that case newer would be better.

I was thinking along kreighund’s lines. If your capacity is ten would it not be safe to assume you might have completed units ready for delivery valued at ten IPC also getting blown up also. Using the house scenerio let’s say your $200,000 house is destroyed and your insurance replaces it and nothing else. Wouldn’t that leave you kind of longing for all the contents of your previous abode.

War with the Soviets equaled war with England and France. In order to have avenues for blitzkrieg’s high speed advances I don’t see how Poland could be left alone. There never was the option for Hitler to just focus on the USSR.

He thinks it’s pretty cool his birthday is on a plaque on the deck of his states namestake warship. He even runs around with a Mighty Mo hat on his head.

I picked Maximus because I’m a wuss. William Wallace’s real life death was much more horrid than what was depicted in the movie. Being castrated and drug over cobble stones for three miles on your way to the torture session is a bad way to go. Getting stabbed and cut but still killing your enemy before you die seems a little easier to me.

Xenogames.com has trees in several colors that contain 35 pieces each. Impgames.com has extra pieces available for their WW3 A&A variant. You have four colors to choose from there. I’ve read you can get A&A pieces from hasbro.com but haven’t seen it.

Prior to the Germany invading it’s neighbors Hitler only had closed door one on one talks with one none white. That man was Mohammad Amin al-Husseini the Mufti of Jerusalem. Hitler disclosed to the Mufti the upcoming war would truly be for the extermination of the Jews. Alledgedly the Mufti was the first person Hitler directly said this to outside his own countrymen.
Since killing Jews was high on al-Husseini’s list of interests he and Hitler hit it off. Hitler had his fellow psychopath raise Muslim divisions that fought against the Russians believe it or not. Who would have thought there would be Muslim Bosnian SS soldiers enlisted because of the Mufti’s desire to see Jews die. For me seeing pictures of soldiers in Nazi uniforms in Muslim prayer is a mind bender. This interaction between two butchers has had a far reaching effect on our world. It was the start of radicule Islam as we know it today.
After the war some high ranking SS members found their way to the Arab world. Ever wonder where the term Islamo Fasism came from. Every think “Those Jihadi seem to be doing the Nazi salute”. Now you know why.

I voted Stalin. He not only fought Hitler he expanded his empire in the process. You can pretend the Warsaw Pact was an alliance for Soviet friendly countries if you like. The reality is they were an actual part of the Soviet Empire. Look how long it stayed that way.
Stalin exported his brand of politics globally to an extent no other individual has in history. There are still communist nations on this planet that Iosef helped make commie. The massive effect on the world psyche and economics the Cold War had. The Korean War, and communist insurgencies that lost but still drained western powers of men and material. Stalin’s policies even effected the movies made in Hollywood. I think his world impact is under rated by most people.
Being an independent I’m able to think about politics. Being dense I’m not able to think about economics. I let Alan Greenspan do that for me. In an interview Mr. Greenspan said Clinton did very little positive for the American economy. According to Greenspan Clinton “rode on the coat tails of the previous two administrations economic policies”.
Those policies were started by Reagan. Ask any economist and they will tell you it takes a good decade for a policy to fully effect the multi-trillion dollar engine that is the American economy. Reagan bashers should not take my word for it. Read up a little about how our economy really works then re-access your politics. Thank Reagan for the '90’s, thank Clinton for now, thank Bush for what’s soon to come, and thank the next guy for the 2020’s.

Italy back stabbed the Central powers in WW1 because she could take more land from the Hapsburgs than from anyone else. Without Italy fighting against the Austro-Hungarians Russia would have had more pressure to deal with and may have folded sooner. This would have freed more German units to fight in the west sooner. Add in an Italian attack on France and it’s easy to see the France being overrun.
One would have to wonder how things would have turned out for the Ottomans had the Italians fought on the Central side. The Brits would have had to deal with another naval force in the Mediterranean. How would this have effected their operations against the Turks in the Mid-East? Had Russia been knocked out sooner could the Turks have thrown more forces into the south to face the Brits? I could see this additional pressure on GB effecting operations in Africa also.
More Turks and Gerries plus some Italian presence for the Brits to face on the minor fronts. More Austro-Hungarian troops for the Russians to face. More German soldiers and the Italian Army hitting the Western Front before the Americans get involved. How likely is it WW2 gets fought in this scenario?

Europe had become fairly interdependent prior to WW1. I remember reading about all the distributors in all the cars made in Europe were made by Bosch in Germany. There were other examples of interdependency but that’s the one that comes to mind. With that type of business going on fighting a massive war was stupid from a business standpoint.
Since the hot headed nature of Europian politics had changed so much by the 1930’s you needed to have a few lunatics take charge in a couple countries. Enter Adolf and Benito. Keeping Italy in check would have been little problem for the major powers. Hitler’s Germany on the other hand was a different story. Since a major part of Hitler’s rise was due to him promising to erase the disgrace of the Versailles Treaty I have to say WW1 had something to do with WW2 being fought.
Back to that hot head thing. With most Europian leaders being much more level headed than their predecessors I don’t think a major Europian war was likely without the likes of Hitler. As for the PTO. Let’s be real. We b!tch slapped the Nips with 15% of our economic might then gave them a couple nice parting gifts. Japan against The USA, and her Europian allies would have been over before the Japanese were done celebrating Pearl Harbor.
