Convoy routes

Whenever the British player collects his income he will get 12 IPCs from his convoys (if he controls all of them) as soon as this is collected it must be given to or split between Australia and India. These 12 IPCs are also given at the begining of the game with the starting income at which point the British player must dispurse the money between the two powers as he sees fit.

Its excatly how I have played the game so far, I just had my doubts because the rules aren’t very clear on this subject!

Well, are you talking about Convoy centres or convoy routes? If you mean Convoy centres then they aren’t really Australian, they’re british and you divide the money between India and Australia how you see fit when you collect it. If you mean convoy routes then the income from the island or territory it is adjacent to is subtracted from the appropriate country’s income. You can learn all about both centres and routes on p. 22. happy playing.

ya, i read it in the manual a little after I posted the question…and I figured uit out, but thanks for the help. Oh ya, my games are kinda likke that, (I read the manual every turn heh)

Tell you what, since you like to learn your history from books, I have some reading for you.

Start with Knights of Bushido, which describes the impeccable behavior of the Japanese in the China Incident and the Greater East Asian War.

Then read about the holiday activities of the Japanese Army in Nanking, China in December of 1937 and January of 1938.  The Japanese Army had such a fun frolic then.

And then read about the life-saving activities of Unit 731 in Manchuria.

In fact, the key to this question has no matter with the location of the enemy ships. If you read p.22-23 of the rulebook about the section “Convoy Routes and Convoy Centers”, you should know that only the sovereignty of that sea zone matters.

If the seazone is controlled by your enemy, you can’t receive a penny from that territory even if that seazone is empty.

If the seazone is under your control, you can receive the IPC even an enemy ship stops in that seazone.
