• I was playing a game of 1942 the other day and my opponent had a different interpretation of the “attacking and defending fighters” than I had.

From my memory: The attacking fighter hits on a 1 and the defending fighter hits on a 2 for 1 round of combat.

I interpret that as the escorting fighter hits on a 1 and the intercepting fighter hits on a 2.

He interpreted the attacking fighter as the interceptor and the defending fighter the one that defends the strategic bombers.

    Can anybody clarify??? Thanks!

  • Official Q&A

The attacker is always the power that is currently taking its turn.  The escorts are the attackers.

  • That’s what I thought. Thanks!
