I just hope one of them is relatively well balanced.
I’ve been hoping all along that the 42 scenario would be better than the 41, with the Midway glory and such.
China looks a lot more interesting in 42, but in the end the 41 game might prove the closer match up Axis v Allies (without a bid) since Japan seems to be in a stronger tactical position.
I agree with you Black_Elk. I think if China is going to be a “player” (very small player) in this game, it would be nice to have a chance to be a thorn in Japan’s side. In the '41 scenario it looks like Japan could wipe out the entire Chinese force on J1 (of course one or two more Chinese would pop up after).
Also ignoring China and letting them liberate Kiangsu or Manchuria will negate a Japanese National Objective. It takes almost no effort of Japan’s part to eliminate China. Manchuria and Kiangsu are also great for Japanese ICs. They are on the mainland so they do not require a navy to service them. They also can only be liberated by the Allies, never captured. This means should you loose them, they can not be used to produce units that will be used against you.
Also consider that Chinese infantry are “free” any other Allied unit in that area had to be bought and brought there. Which is a bit easier said than done. I see no reason not to stomp China flat from the get go.
@Soviet-Steamroller said in Captured Industrial complex in China?:
So long story short it is better never to make any assumption when going back and forth from 1940 to Anniversary right?
If it is not clearly written down then don’t assume it!
Sounds good. However, there are many parallels in the rulesets. But not in this specific case - neither in other cases.
Better check the rulebooks/FAQ, as “assuming” or “believing” is sometimes misleading indeed.
In case of doubts just ask of course!
Anybody get a peek of the ‘new sculpts’ and more, please post or let us know where to find them please?! Thanks guys!
I don’t think this will occur until someone actually gets their hands on it…
If I’m not mistaken, any promotional pictures of AA50 always seem to turn out to be recycled stock photos of the original version or some mix of various other versions.
I’m of the impression “new sculpts” means things new to AA50, but have actually been out for awhile in other newer versions of A&A like 1942SE or 1940 Global SE… I don’t think we’re getting new sculpts that have never been seen in any other A&A game before (but I am guessing on this conclusion).
